tweetyduck
All the works paid off. This time i took the car to the (nighmare) garage where they do a full MOT and I mean a full MOT. Allegedly he doesn't give much leeway on anything. I deliberatly took it there. All passed, no advisories and an emission test of 0.46 whatever that means. He even commented on what good shape it was in. Only thing he mentioned was my rear number plate is passed its best (origional dealer plate) and the front is mounted in the roof rack. He wasn't sure if it was a pass or fail as the handbook says front on vehicle and technically thats not the front.
western
it's on the front of the vehicle forward facing on a vertical surface & can be easily read, others have their front plate on the roof rack or on the vent panel below the screen. tweetyduck
yeah that what i though......front facing but the handbook says "front". Anyhow he was happy to let that go ("not safety related at all") but advised that i should look into putting one in the bull bar just in case an enterprising PC decided to give me 3 points. Phillis
Why would you get 3 points?
M&S
Mines due tomorrow and I was just saying, my pre-MOT is fine, but I can't check emissions and you never know what book they are reading from * *yes, I know some of you do, but I'm not an MOT tester

tweetyduck
Why would you get 3 points? would imagine its a fixed penalty counted as not having a number plate. If they consider it to be incorrectly mounted.
