Which class of truck???

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

please excuse my ignorance in this field.

I'm in the process of building a 100" trayback for use off road and may look into doing some events.Could someone please tell me how to find out what class my vehicle would fall into when complete.

it has at the mo,

1.Full North Offroad cage

2.Homemade trayback

3.Homemade tubular wings

4.Winch to front and rear

5.34" Simex J/T's

6.+5 Terrafima challenge set up and +2" springs

Also in the future i'll be looking to fit lockers front and rear.

Any help is most appreciated.

thanks

Ralph

(i'll get some pics of the build as it progresses)

Depends who you are intending to compete with as to which class you will be,

Cage normally makes no difference

Trayback normally makes no difference

Tubular wings normally make no difference

Simex at 34" normally make no difference

Your suspension set up would normally make no difference

Front AND rear winch could move you up a class, unless for an event you disabled one and removed the rope

Check with reg's for event and classes for whichever one your entering

Good luck

Trucks are normally 'graded' on :

- Diff locks which are not from factory

- 1, 2 or more winches

- Hydraulic Steering or normal

- Rear steering

Some events limit your tyre size, i.e. 36".

Some events require cages to msa spec.

The shape / bodywork doesn't normally put you in a particular class.
