Headlamp Levelling - adding as aftermarket

Recommended Posts

I'm considering fitting levelling headlamps for when I'm towing or carrying heavy loads.

My TD5 has a space on the centre dash for the switch. So far my research shows that I need 2 motors for the headlights plus the levelling type of headlamp bowls and the switch.

I've located sellers of all the items except the switch; does anyone know of a stockist?

AMR5874 for a 90

AMR5875 for a 110

I've no idea what the difference is, apart from the price :o

The connector to suit these switches is also used as the Female half of an Earth Header on Discovery II and Freelander 1, as well as several Rover Cars, including Metro/Rover 100 and Rover 200/400

It used to be available as YPC10004, but has been discontinued as a spare.

If you source a connector from a scrappy, then suitable replacement terminals can be sourced from Polevolt -

Vambo, I did it on mine.

The wiring should already be there, I got the bowls and motors off ebay (they are expensive new !) and the dash switch from a forum member. Worked splendidly on our trip with the 90 fully loaded :)
