discomikey
the PTO will transmit engine power, with a turned up TDI, no problem choppers demand ranging power outputs depending on pick up reel width etc. but you can get them for 90hp tractors, and 140hp of tuned TDI should be ok with it, it all depends on the torque figures of the engine, at 195lbft (264nm) standard, our 90bhp MF6140, has a torque of 359nm however daft as it may seem, my land rover does seem a lot torquier than the massey even when the engine is pulling the same overall weight, so i cant see why not to be honest. lrfarmer
we used to forrage with a 65hp tractor the only problem will be if you hit a lump of grass and dip the clutch(to slow down) you'll dissangage the PTO at the same time
