nickliv
My D90 has rear drums, but I have a Disco 1 rear axle kicking around. It's not good enough to bolt on, the mounts had rotted away, and the diffpan's porous. Can I unbolt the ends of the axles and swap them over, or will it be more complicated than that? Cheers Nick
TJN
Check the drive flanges but otherwise I think it would be fine.

Buzza
Don't think it's that simple, the caliper mountings are part of the axle casing. Steve

Retroanaconda
You could repair the Disco axle casing, the parts are available, although it would be cheaper and easier to just get another (better) Disco axle.
sharpy
Hiya, Definately agree with nickliv, we thought we could do this on a mates truck and the brakes are fastened directly onto the axle on the 90, better off if you can do it swapping the axle out to a disco one Sharpy
