rocky Posted January 28, 2012 Share Posted January 28, 2012 Hi, does anyone have any idea what sort of service life I would get from fitting pro comp es9000 standard length shocks. Mostly road work, with some forestry tracks now and again. I don't want to spend a fortune as I am buying a new set of wheels and tyres. The ones fitted are getting tired. 19MART82 Posted January 28, 2012 Share Posted January 28, 2012 procomp are some of the cheapest out there,the shafts rust quickly and there prone to leaking but are cheap enough to replace,they not great on the road either,terrafirma arent that much dearer but are a lot better than procomp,or pay the extra and buy some koni,de carden or old man emu etc which will give a lot better ride and last a hell of a lot longer than both Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The oldest Pumas are five years of age now, wouldn't have thought a set of shock absorbers would fail that quickly under normal conditions. I'd just go for the standard Genuine ones personally. I fitted them to my last rrc when i redid the suspension and fitted 130 spec ones to my current 110 last year. The ones on my 110 are a bit harsh when its empty, but loaded up it rides well.
