pro comp es9000 shocks. 90 puma

Recommended Posts

Hi,

does anyone have any idea what sort of service life I would get from fitting pro comp es9000 standard length shocks. Mostly road work, with some forestry tracks now and again. I don't want to spend a fortune as I am buying a new set of wheels and tyres.

The ones fitted are getting tired.

Regards,

Rocky

procomp are some of the cheapest out there, the shafts rust quickly and there prone to leaking but are cheap enough to replace, they not great on the road either, terrafirma arent that much dearer but are a lot better than procomp,or pay the extra and buy some koni,de carden or old man emu etc which will give a lot better ride and last a hell of a lot longer than both

As above, I had ES9000's fitted to my 110, within 12 months the shafts were very rusty & pitted.

Changed them for Old Man Emu's & haven't looked back.

Yes the Procomp shocks are cheap but IMHO it's false economy.

HTH's,

Mick.
