ejparrott
My rear screen wiper turns out to be seized, both the shaft through the door and the motor. The shaft through the door I can probably deal with, is there anything that can be done about the motor?
cackshifter
If you take the lid off the gearbox on the motor you can (try to)turn the shaft. I'm guessing if it has the usual failure, and it is u/s - water having entered, and run down to the bottom of the motor, rusting out the bottom bearing. G4FUJ
Possibly, but you won't know until it's off the door and the casing is off. By then it's probably cheaper just to buy a replacement, if you place any value on your time...
ejparrott
casing is open and motor is seperated from the gearbox, both are seized. ho hum....I think I've a spare somewhere.....60-odd quid on the 'bay if not
pete3000
Do what I did a while back for a mate, using the casing/bracket you have and transplant a new RR classic motor and bushings in. The parts are identical. RR classic bits are cheaper. You are looking for motor shape like this, http://www.ebay.co.u...=item19d36d7b92 edit: TBH after looking at the P38 and disco1 the may well be from same parts bin
