Going up from 35"s to 38,5"s

Today's project was swapping the (apparently) puny 35"s on my mates '05 90" out for some 38.5 x 14,5 Swampers.

This clearly though, meant some cutting was required as we are not fond of lifting our way out of wheel-space issues, as it simply ruins the handling of the car. So after a days work, 38,5"s fit a 90" with only a basic 2" lift.

Anyways, pics, will tell the rest:

All that's left to do now, is knocking up some inner fenders, and a general tidy up.

your assumption is very correct Mr. Fridge, Ashcroft, ARB, maxidrive and bobby longfield have all participatet in making this possible. The biggest issue of running 10 splines and 38"s are actually not strength, it's more the fact that you simply cannot get proper grip as the car bounces all the time as the twig-axle winds and unwinds :D
