V8 serpentine oil cooler thread

Can't recall the thread but you can't blank them as all the flow goes through there. I made a bypass pipe, got some hydraulic adapters that screwed in with dowty seals, still had to shave the ends down to fit in the holes without bottoming.

There's also a Freelander cooler pipe that fits thread-wise that could be hacked about to fit, I bought one to look at then decided to do it nicely ;)

I've just had a look at this today and the hose/fitting that goes into the side is a special fitting, I wondered what's the need/the reason for it here's a pic..

If your motor is a crank driven oil pump serpentine type, which looking at those fittings I suspect it is, then just blank the ports off with either m18 or m20 plugs.

The "special fitting" is a way of diverting the flow when the cooler is fitted, groove at the end normally is fitted with o ring which seals inner port in case.
