Jon White Posted September 18, 2006 Share Posted September 18, 2006 I'd say passenger side you'd possibly get away with as its non structural, but drivers side you wouldnt casue the brake pedal assembly is fitted to it and it'd probbaly be MOT failure. Les Henson Posted September 18, 2006 Share Posted September 18, 2006 If there's corrosion within 30cm of suspension, vehicle body mount, or other structure, then it should fail. So within 30cm of the door pillar, which is veh structure. The plate that goes from the chassis to the back of the footwell- within 30cm of that. MOT regs don'r say if this is in a straigth line (as the spider scuttles), or following the profile of the metal.
