Fogy1
Hello All, hope you are all well. I have a little query! today while driving back from the agricultural suppliers a 90 was driving the other way towards me, it looked has if it just started off as it switched the lights on ( weather chucking it down). What I noticed was it was just the sidelights that come on only? now on mine I get sidelights and Headlights at the first movement on the stalk then full lights at second movement of the stalk. But the 90 had just sidelights only nothing from headlights has his lights gone pear shaped? Jon
Retroanaconda
A lot of Defenders in the UK had the dim-dip system fitted. This meant that with the sidelights on the headlamps are lit at a lower power. Then next you have full power dipped headlights on, and then finally you have full beam. He either didn't have this installed (a newer vehicle - or an older one with it disabled/bypassed) or something was broken as you say! Simon Smith
My dim-dip relay went pear shaped and caused all sorts of intermittent faults, so I bypassed it. Somewhere on here is a thread on how it's done.
