Anyone on here fitted a multipoint lpg system

Just after some feedback regards to the DIY multipoint kits, I've fitted (quite badly tbh) a single point kit in the past and had no problems, but I want to fit a multipoint kit to the new engine, just wondering how easy the installation and tuning were. Will probably get a kit from tinley.

Very similar, only difference really is drilling/tapping the inlet manifold, otherwise lay the loom in place, bolt a few bits down and off you go.

Tuning is normally pretty automatic, it uses the petrol ECU injector opening times plus a calculated amount from an automated tuning procedure to work out how long the LPG injectors should be open. You don't need to connect the lambda probe normally to the LPG system, but it does help in diagnostics. After then you may need to tune the idle areas manually to get pickup and a smooth idle right, but very easy really.

Yes, it's all pretty much the same, with very minor software differences.

I got a new ECU as the old one died while they were trying to tune it, just stopped responding to anything. I got the injectors and rails from https://www.lpgshop.co.uk/, very helpful guys and can't find it much cheaper.

In the end, all of this probably wasn't necessary, as the problems came from the injectors being in the wrong place. The Thor upper manifold has its centre intake tubes crossed, which I only discovered after drilling and tapping a second manifold to get tubes close to the valves (a recommendation from the LPG specialists as they couldn't think of what else the problem could be). I bought the car with the injectors plumbed incorrectly, so didn't give it a second thought when replacing the injectors...

It's running fine now, just need to do some tuning.

Another upside of the new AEB ECU is that it has an OBD connection, so it can read the petrol ECU's fuel trims to run closed-loopish.

Mine will be going on with Megasquirt so presumably won't do the obd thing as there's no obd plug.

Funnily I've just found the lpg shop they do omvl dream kit for good money. They also do a prins kit but that seems a little dear. What was after sales like from lpg shop?

So about £1500 all in, honestly, it's not that hard :)

Backend actually takes a while too, cutting body work potentially, mounting the tank securely, all takes time.

I've already got the tank in, it was single point on the old engine. That price does include a new tank-vap pipe too. Think the exact spec was omvl vap, reg fast injectors and king ecu. If it was just fitting it it wouldn't be a problem, but if its anything like my ms to get going right ill still be doing it next year :0
