weasel_110
Hi Chaps! Just a quick question...What do these screw into?Is it a captive thread or a nut? I can't see in there at the mo without removing my extended mudflap! Cheers!
Retroanaconda
There's a pair of nuts behind the plastic in the rear wheelarch. You'll have to reach up behind that lot to get a spanner on them. The other sets in the middle of the car go into captive nut plates.

western
see item 11 on page 830 in http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/parts_books/110/9_body_and_chassis_p741-909.pdf you'll need 5 nut plates or 3 plates plus 4 seperate nuts.
weasel_110
Thank you for the pdf Western! , much obliged...I can put the nut plate on instead of 2 nuts and bolts? I need to be undoing them regularly (for a ladder), so it makes sense using the plate..I will drill between the holes and fit a s/s c/sunk socket screw to hold the plate in place. And its MRC8736? Cheers
western
Yes to using the nut plate instead of 2 seperate nuts, the central 3 bolt pairs are a real pig to access. correct on the part number, it has 2 rivet holes already drilled for securing to the body flamge, picture in the link http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/7887/MRC8736-REAR-LOWER-BODY-NUT-PLATE.html
muddy
Why not replace them with stainless antiluce's if your fitting and removing all the time?
