Brake Judder on Discovery Td5 2001

Hi All,

A friend is in need of some help. This is what he sent me.

Essentially, any time I'm driving over about 60 mph and apply the brakes - even lightly - I get judder and delayed braking, like the ABS is coming on (although the ABS light doesn't come on).

Recently had front left hub replaced after wheel bearing failed, so may be associated?

Local garage couldn't find any codes to follow up with, and mechanical inspection didn't reveal anything obvious.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thank you.

Where did the front hub come from ? I have had one DII in where the customer bought hub off E bay, turned out it had the wrong number of teeth on the reluctor ring - only found when I scoped front and rear hubs together...

It would also make the ABS come on like yours, also would make the TC active under wide throttle openings up to 60 mph. Didnt store any faults in the SLABS ecu either as it thought it was doing the right thing.
