twodoorgaz
Hi, does anyone know the generic specs for a standard SIII two pin indicator flasher unit? I'd like to pick one up from my local motor factors on saturday morning. Many thanks. Also, do flasher units burn out after a brief short circuit? I was installing a hazard kit and had a brief short that blew the inline fuse but there seemed to be a puff of smoke from the hazard kit's flasher unit too so I'm going to replace to to be safe (I've already got a replacement for this flasher - its the normal indicator one I need the specs for). Thanks.
western
there is a unit as in 110's that combines indicators & hazard functions in one unit. http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/10029/PRC8877-FLASHER-UNIT.html?search=flasher%20unit&page=1 the 2 pin metal cans should be easily available from halfords or any decent car motor spares or motor factors shop. Jon White
It's well worth uprading to a 3 pin one as the indicators then don't slow down when you pull up at junctions etc. the third connection is simply an earth. Jon
