snailracer
I'm thinking of fitting one piece seals but have noticed that the original seals sit in a lipped channel. Does this lip need to be removed to fit the one piece seals or will they go over it? Cheers
Daan
you need to cut off the return. Daan
snailracer
Thought that would be the answer but was hoping there was a magic trick! Cheers
oscar03
you need to cut off the return. Daan no you do not need to cut the return off!! i didnt cut the return off when i fitted one piece seals to my 2a and they are still fitted fine - that was 3 years ago!! if anything, the return holds the seal on even better!! snailracer
Ok so I guess I'll try them before cutting anything and see if they work. How do you get them to work around the door catch/striker?

How do you get them to work around the door catch/striker? yes try it and they'll fit, it will save you loads of unnecessary work! the picture sort of shows how i did it. i cut away a section of the bit that squishes to the size of the striker. then i cut away the inner side of the U shape grip part of the seal. the side of the U shape that faces into the cab. the picture isnt particularly clear but you get the idea
