Lidderd
I have a 2001 land rover discovery td5 manual and ill like to know, way my high and low shift gear stick only shifts between high and low range and does not give the option for locking the center diff, while other discovery’s do give that option. Is it the year model or the GS model that works this way and is it a problem or lack of capability when going on the off-road, and lastly does it ever lock the canter diff when in low range? BogMonster
Because the early Td5s didn't have the option. It was optional on later 03 04 MY vehicles. Land Rover will tell you ETC is a match for anything. It isn't, and the vehicles with a centre diff lock are much better in all respects. You can get a kit to retro fit it from Ashcrofts I think.
