Boost Alloys - Centre Caps

Hi,

So, I have gone round in circles on this one.... was initially thinking I'd replace the standard boost alloys on my 110 with a set of 16" sawtooths when it arrives.

Now though, I reckon I'm just going to have the boosts powder coated.

I've looked around and ideally want the centre caps to be black to match the new wheels, but there seems to be different size caps out there and I can't find anything definitive to say what diameter the centre caps are on a new defenders boost alloys.

Anyone able to tell help me out?

(Any thoughts on whether I'm making a mistake getting them powder coated also welcome)

I've got a new Puma with Boosts, the hole aperture in the wheel is 3 inches diameter measured from the front of the wheel.

If the wheels are being coated why not the old caps ?

Hi,

So I got the defender and have been slowly adding bits: roofrack, ladder, chequerplate, kbx grill and light surrounds, steering guard, jate rings, tow-step and now LED spotlights to the rack (have posted queries separately about wiring these)

I decided in the end to keep the Boost alloys rather than sawtooths and have had them powder coated black. The centre caps are plastic so can't be coated, but I rubbed them down with steel wool and sprayed them with exterior grade paint and they came up a treat.

Getting pretty favourable reaction all round and am loving my defender.
