Cam bearing tool/puller/driver

I need to remove some internal Cam bearings (Bedford TK). Obviously the tool to do this was once available but the chances of finding one to borrow/buy are slim

I can find some universal tools like this....

But nothing in the UK, all in America. Surely other engines have these type of bearings which are in one piece?

Does anyone know of any suitable tools in the UK?

When I changed the cam bearings in my 300 tdi , I machined up a bush that fitted the bearing and tapped a 12 mm thread in it and the used threaded bar , nut and heavy washer on the other end to pull them in .

I don't know if that would work for you as I don't know the layout of the tk engine .

Would you also not need a tapered guide placed in one of the other cam bearing holes?

One of the things that always baffled me about the rover v8 is you can buy a replacement set of cam bearings but they recommend replacement is only done with specialist tools due to alignment but thought it could be done with a puller and a tapered or stepped centereing guide

The Bedford manual (got hold of one today) suggests that fitting bearings already of the correct diameter removes the need for line boring.

Each bearing is slightly smaller than the last one (presumably to let them pass through easily when the camshaft is installed?) so I would have to machine 4 different size bushes.

I think this is something I will get the engineers to do when they bore my cylinders, but thank you for your comments
