Fatboy
The vehicle is a 2002, Range Rover l322 with the 4.4 V8 BMW M62 Engine. (VIN SALLMAMA32A1107XX). I need a replacement screw on cap for the radiator expansion tank on the LH inner wing. Our local garage has searched his catalogues and can only find PCD000070 which is a cap with "140" on it. My vehicle has a cap with "200" on it (and the O ring retaining housing is breaking up, thus it needs replaced. If I fit the "140", it pours out water when getting up to temp.... Thanks for any help! Rangy35
The cooling system on a L322 is suppose to have the "140" or 1.40Bar cap on it. The workshop manual recomends it. You may have a concern that was conseled with the 2.0 bar cap. The 2.0 bar cap was a BMW part from BMW not Land Rover.
Fatboy
Ahhhh..... Maybe I should run it with the 140 cap and see where the water level ends up. However, I suspect it will go below the sensor in the header tank.. Or maybe I'll head to the BMW garage for a new 200. Thanks gents! Fatboy
So, to close this one out. I fitted the 140 cap and all has been almost fine. Header tank split a couple of weeks ago but I'm fairly sure it was the original, and its now done almost 160k miles so not too bad. Goodness knows where the 200 cap came from but its now been binned. Thanks for the help..
