Taffia
Hi, Quick question - a friend of mine pointed out that the information plate under the bonnet on the drivers side has the following numbers under each other: 3050KG 5550KG 1 - 1200KG 2 - 1850KG Its a 95 110 Ex MOD FFR Canvas - does the above mean its 3.05 tonne in weight and does that mean a different MOT class? I have had a look around and can't see anything. Its not a Snatch vehicle I can't work it out as I though it was closer to 2T (1850KG) Thanks for your input - just don't want to get caught out! miketomcat
If I remember correctly: Gross vehicle weight(max fully loaded) Gross train weight(max including trailer) front axle (max load) Rear axle (max load) Technically it should be class 7 MOT(van) but seems to depend on tester. western
as above, MOT may fall under class 4 dual purpose vehicles [4x4] but depends on the tester.

Mike Thanks Is this considerably heavier to a normal 2 door 110 then? I appreciate it may be down to the Tester but if there was an insurance query etc could I fall back on the MOT was done as X? I don't look good in Orange! Taffia!
western
heavier because the military chassis maybe the heavy duty type, plated top & bottom of the main rails, should be easy to see, plus heavy duty suspension, which would give a higher gross loaded vehicle weight over a civilian 110 of the same body/tilt type. a current MOT shouldn't cause any insurance problems. miketomcat
I'm fairly sure 3050kg (class 7) is standard gross weight for a hardtop I think a county station wagon is something like 2950kg (class 4). Although both are around 2000kg unladen if anything a csw is slightly heavier than a hardtop. Mike
western
Correct my CSW is 2950 kg max gross & goes for a class 4 test, but class 4 also covers -- dual purpose vehicles found this lhttp://www.glencoyne.co.uk/motclass.htm
