Hi, I'm looking for a bit of advice from you guys if possible.

Based in Portugal with a LHD Disco 2 (2001).

The drivers side window regulator motor has given up the ghost, so I've bought a new one here via the net from a portuguese site

(part of the Landrover-parts-shop.com).

All info on the site said that the new motor was for my model, but on receipt the cable connections are different as shown on attached images.

I have searched high and low for a motor with the original direct spade connection but to no avail so, simply, can I modify the wiring to utilise the new motor

without too much hassle?

Thanks in anticipation.

When I bought mine from a French site, it did specify that two types were available, 'Comfort' and standard, the comfort has the facility for one touch up and down and the standard requires you to keep your finger on the rocker. (I don't think 'standard' was ever available in the home market) As you only seem to have two wires I am guessing you have 'standard'? What I would do is fit it up as is and make temporary adaptors to bridge the loom out of spade connectors. If it works then you can make a more permanent alteration, if it doesn't then return the motor as incorrect. Over here (France) it is usual to input the chassis no. on the website to identify parts, if they still send the wrong part then there is no fuss about returning it. HTH

Yes best test it first. But if you go for a permanent fix see if you might be able to identify the connector here, they're not expensive and better than getting electrical gremlins or melting your wiring :)

Hey Fery, this is interesting about the different motors, you heard anything about that and RE one touch up?

EDIT: that's one touch for window up, no one's getting the other.
