need4speed
Saw this whilst having a little browse. No particular reason for posting it. Just thought there was some interesting features about it...
stuck
Blimey, that lower tailgate hinge must be under some stress
need4speed
No because it looks to be hinged off the rear crossmember if im looking at it right?
stuck
It could be hinged off Jupiter, it's still going to be subjected to a huge amount of stress
need4speed
Id just love to see that rear door uppercut someone if those rams were a bit on the strong side.... Just looking at that swingaway tailgate, it looks as though its actually connected to the opposite side of the crossmember as well as the hinged side when closed. Just as well as it has 2 spares on it too!
ballcock
Lots of interesting features as you say, I like the roof, not sure about the lights and have often thought I would fit a cat flap and tailgate on the rear if I did a utility wagon conversion. robertspark
never liked putting too much past the back axle, seems to make the front go a little light at speed (90, + swingaway carrier, +single wolf rim spare with a 265), putting two on the rear of a 110 + storage etc can't be good for front end handling. not tried a spare on the bonnet, but did give it a thought.
