Milner575
Ok so I have taken the rear prop off my defender 200 tdi and its knackered. Any idea if any props off a discovery will fit as I have access to one of them but not a defender. Thanks

Milner575
Thanks for that mate. Although from what I can tell a disco one would be 30mm too short then....pants!!! Best place to buy one from anyone?
muddy
The disco prop will be too long.
Milner575
Yeh I guessed the rear would be too long but it Says on the thread above that my rear one is 667 and a disco front one is 637. Was hoping I could catch a break somewhere with it to get it back on the road asap but i guess not. Not too keen on diff lock and front wheels only
Milner575
Oh and to top it off the drum for the handbrake has fallen off on the way home too!!! Excellent. More parts added to the list. Oh to own a Land Rover Ey!!
miketomcat
Front props are phased differently to rears. Rears are normally in line fronts are one or two splines off in line. You can Re phase them but obviously not if it's to short. If it makes you feel better I had a drum fall off the same way but I ran it over so stop to pick it up. Now I whined the nuts back on as well as the areas. Mike
Milner575
Yeh I wish I had stopped too. I heard a nose but I thought it was just the prop falling of the side in the back of the cab. Hindsight is a wonderful thing Ey lol
Lewis
Given the number of disco's being scrapped you should be able to find another drum cheap or free
Milner575
Yeh think I've sourced a drum already to be honest. Just hunting for a prop near me otherwise it's gonna be a new one from somewhere
