Disco-Ron
My truck is 1985 and has the lever in the grill to open the bonnet, and the key to lock it, have just picked up a td5 bonnet to replace my battered one, I presume that the catch pin would if needed swap over, just wondered about the key hook....... I'll have to wait til it's fitted to work out if I can make a hook to fit...... Also wondering about the stay...... my truck has the folding bar....... and I guess the td5 has a straight tube... (which I don't have.....). What options do I have??.... Who was it did the rams to hold the bonnet up??
steve200TDi
The TD5 has a bonnet stay of the tube or rod type, but it is tidied or clipped in on top of the radiator, so it should be too difficult to fabricate a bracket and order the two little plastic clips. The rams are sold by Megasquirt v8! Steve
western
Td5 bonnet has a different internal frame to, the rear corner may hit the heater casing & prevent full closed position. Nige -hybrid from hell does the bonnet struts on his megasquirt website. bonnet solid prop can be used instead of the folding type, or swap your existing folding prop over. bonnet prop upto end of 300tdi. http://www.allbrit.de/UNI.cfm?PAGE=768246&SPRACHE=EN Td5 onwards http://www.allbrit.de/UNI.cfm?PAGE=768262&SPRACHE=EN

oneandtwo
You need to space the radiator header tank inwards 20mm to clear the internal frame.

Frax
I fitted Scooby boot Rams to mine and the work great, Subaru hatch back, one at each side, got them off an old scrap car and just made some brackets to fit on the wing lip.
