The Badger
Taken the injector out, I have some new 300TDI one, thought I would check if there is any difference between the ones in the TGV and what would go in a 300TDI. They look exactly the same, and the info stamped on them is the same too, I checked the nozel pattern and that looks identical. So whats the difference? western
As all the numbers match & the attachment method is the same I would suspect they are identical, it might be worth taking both types to a Bosch diesel specialist to see what they can find out & test the spray patterns of each variant. TSD
International gave it a different part number in their parts catalogue, but kept the LR part number for the HS2500 version (aka 300tdi but built by International) So I very much doubt they are the same part, though I have no idea what the difference might be. western
The 300tdi originals are Bosch parts, maybe a Bosch diesel dealer could confirm any differences.
The Badger
As western surgests, Im gonna take the one from the TGV and the new 300TDI one to a Bosch / injector place to get them tested, as I really cannot see any difference, the only thing it could be is the spray pattern as even though it looks identical there could be some sort of slight difference. They could be a different part number, but the same part. They just make it different so you fee special when you buy the more expensive one. jason110
Flow rate maybe different too
The Badger
Is the flow rate written on it, as this is what is printed on the injectors: 300TDI one - 2FH KBAL 90P 37, 200 bar, 939 882 What came out of the TGV - KBAL 90P 37, 0 432193532, Turkey 939 885 on three of them, and 488 on one
pat_pending
The bodies may well be the same but the nozzles could be different. IIRC you can't see the nozzle ID without removing it. Any good diesel specialist should be able to tell you the spec's.
