I heard you've had some work done on your balls Mo ...

Can I a related question - there seem to be gaskets listed for the gearbox face on early model cars but not the later ? And on guides for fitting they don't seem to show one .
So I guess I'm wondering do I need a gasket when I swap out the box ?

With the right skills anything is possible.
I wonder what they've done with the drive train ?

They have an English website - though I can't find this 90: http://www.jbk.gr

Thank you !

Could anyone tell me the part number for the seal on the gearbox input side of the LT230 ?
Everyone I search I seem to only find the output seal numbers ..

I used babel fish to translate a Japanese motorcycle manual years ago - and it translated 'Suzuki' into Sea Bass ..... I never did get past being a bit freaked out by that.

They're rather good with fresh pasta and pesto too.

With standard turrets you will gain the 5" in suspension drop - a lot of dislocation (assuming the rest of the set up will flex that much).
If you go for +2" turrets you will get 2" more compression travel and 3" more drop.
A better plan in my eyes.

This is interesting stuff.
If there is no scope for improving the box, and putting aside sympathetic driving for a moment, are there other options to reduce the load put upon the box ?
For example would a DMF on the back of a 200TDI into a series box bring any benefits ?

That's the plan

Thank you Ralph
I'm going to take mine off tomorrow and I understand it's a bit of a fiddle to get it out.....
Disconnecting the chassis end of the steering damper and jacking the body up seems to be the recommended route.

Apologies - I think I've found it : KRB000091

My 2002 MY 90 has the plastic under trays under the engine ...... Is there a parts diagram that shows these ?
Any help welcomed.

I was going to ask that - but Nige has got it covered for both of us.

Could it be that your wastegate is wound up to much and the boost is too high ?
Incidentally I bought a VDO MAF after I killed one with a jet wash - and it worked really well.
-
If unplugging it fixes the problem - then it's definitley the maf.
On my last 90 the maf was broken when I got it - but I didn't find out for a long time - and it's replacement only made incremental inprovements to the drive.

Thanks Ralph. I'm sure when I looked before they changed mid 200tdi. But searching now shows:
So looks like I would be good to go

I'd be really grateful if you could share where the adaptor is from please ?
It's on my list of things to do.

Excuse my ignorance - but is it not worth keeping a one way water trap ? If only for rain water ?
-
I don't have anything to contribute - other than saying 'Good luck sorting it out - hope it goes well for you'.
