  1. hi Rob i had grey eight spoke on my disco although as i wanted to fill my arches i fitted 31-10.50x 15" in place of my 205x16 (which looked very wierd) plus no need for extended aches to be fitted and they more than filled the arches up and the only mod i did was to use hd standard hieght springs and gas shocks which were being replaced any way ps. only rubbed on rear arches on heavy articulation. Roy

  8. hi to all lights now done and appear to be ok, the method i used was to run an earth to the lamps fixing bolts on each one, then run a positive from each lamp to the inner wing near the battery to a 15 amp block connector then linked all 4 together and then a wire to the 30 amp relay(which has a built in 30 amp blade fuse) earthed relay to the inner wing and connected the relay to the main beam feed on one side and as i said they work ok but looking at the spots head on the one nearest the battery seems a bit brighter or maybe its just me. again thanks to all that gave me info as always just great people Roy.

  18. hi everyone just need some advice before i spend some money i have a 94 300tdi disco ,in the last few days i have noticed that when i apply my brakes the front passenger wheel sometimes locks up and the brake pedal has a slight pulsing feeling ( i suspect maybe a warped disc but not sure) but some advice is most welcome. Q2 i think my disco has a imobiliser(checked set alarm off and turned the key and nothing happened ) but i have no paper work to say that i have one fitted, how can i get proof for my insurance company can i just go to a garage or do i have to go to a specialist alarm fitter or maybe lr dealer and pay a small fortune. thanks.

  21. hi there mine did not budge so i used a nut splitter 10 mins per side (machine mart £10- £15 for 2 sizes), then clean up the threads added a bit of copper grease and got a couple of nuts from a landrover parts shop ( i used landrangers in stoke on trent ) but any others will have some hope this helps Roy

  23. hi les parts are £36 per side for a complete kit from a place called beamends lr spares (which is next door to the garage handy or what) plus a loverly pub lunch just down the road "lol"
  24. hi and thanks to all that replied to my questions on the way to work today i noticed a slight vibration from the steering wheel from about 20 mph got worse the faster i went (so i stayed below 35 mph) and whilst going up hill it got really bad have spocken to a garage and they say its the cv's and would do them for a max of £65 -£70 + parts . is it worth having both sides done as i did try and remove the swivel filler plug but short of heating it up it was not going to budge, is this a reasonable price for the work involved thanks Roy.
