  1. I've always been led to believe Salisbury axles are the strongest fitted to Land rovers but I can recall reading that during the Wolf trials Salisbury axles kept breaking. P38 axles were used instead as they were less problematic apparently. Does anybody have any information on this ? Gluv
  2. That's very generous of you but I'm probably going to make one Thanks for the offer πŸ‘πŸ™‚

  4. Hi Chaps Does anybody have a tool drawn up for bracing the pulley to allow the crank bolt to be undone ? . I need to get on with a belt change many thanks Gluv
  5. If the pump is the same as a webbasto, try spraying some oil in either end and use an airline to keep blowing back and forth on each port. They just stick if unused. Took about 45 mins to get mine working.
  6. I have a winterised wolf with the thermotop pro fitted. I usually warm the engine through prior to starting in the winter months . The radiators in the back really kick some heat out. Mine just starts from a simple switch on the dash πŸ™‚ Gluv πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
  7. Due to lack of space I just couldn't route a pipe back so decided to just have a collection pipe with a ball valve on the end. I just blanked the sump return opening with a steel plate Gluv πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
  8. I've mounted the provent on a bracket that fixes to the extra alternator mount . I also had to make a 45 degree adaptor for the rocker cover so the pipe could clear the air filter . It's proper cramped under the bonnet due to being a winterised/ waterproof vehicle . Pics below hopefully explain the installation. Gluv πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
  9. After doing about 150 miles since installing the Pro vent I have drained it today and got about one and a half table spoons of oil from it . I must say I was quite surprised as my engine has only done 24000 . However given that the original tdi vent used to drain back to sump maybe this isn't too bad .If I remove the filler cap whilst running I don't really see any vapour. So in my experience the provent seems to be doing it job GluvπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
  10. I've just fitted one of these . I have only driven about fifty miles with it so far but it's got oil in it . Bloody tight fit under my bonnet though ( winterised/ waterproof Wolf 90 ) Gluv πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§
