  1. My 200tdi does this and its the belts it seems to do it in humid or misty weather . I think I need to tension the belts a bit more.
  2. I thought this was quite quirky http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MONSTER-TRUCK-LONDON-TAXI-CAB-ON-TOYOTA-HILUX-4x4-RIG-WITH-ROVER-V8-ENGINE-/180970400432?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a22ad2ab0
  3. I have just followed these instructions on an NTC8288 but when the pressure fitting nut was taken off no pin sprang up all that I could see was what appeared to be a ball bearing that was firmly seated as you can see in the picture is this right? Have I missed something. I also found the mother of all creepy- crawlies preserved in pas fluid inside the casing what a way to go!!! Cheers J

  8. Hi All, just thinking about the installation of my winch and would like to re position the solenoids up out of the wet and fit the socketed lead through the upper wing via a waterproof capped socket. It’s a 12volt 6hp motor and from searching the forum I have found suggestions that comparative winches draw about 400amps at full tilt? My rather long-winded question is would this cable be suitable to replace the OEM cables? Phew…… sorry sometimes plain English escapes me! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WELDING-CABLE-500-AMP-70MM-BLACK-PER-METRE-NO-35MM-25MM-/120403413094?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&

  11. Ok I have been thinking about this for a while and like your set up. I was thinking though that a lot of heat is generated from the exhaust, couldn’t someone rig up (don’t laugh) a system that transfers heat from the early section of the exhaust to say a copper pipe that is filled with water and fixed alongside the pipe This in turn runs to a small sealed panel inside the truck, You could isolate the panel when not needed to allow the water to just circulate without entering the panel/radiator. Then perhaps a log burner and inglenook with horse brasses.. No just kidding with the last bit but
  12. Bought mine from him (Yan the landyman) he told me it was rock solid..as he had had it checked by his ace mechanic (Ray Charles assisted by Stevie Wonder and Helen Keller on flats no doubt)I knew nothing and the chassis was covered in thick clarted up old engine oil so couldnt see a thing. Still got it!! changed chassis, bulkhead, floors, footwell, rear crossmember before I bit the bullet with the chassis swap...Nightmare....I contacted him he didnt even reply. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask Yan
