  7. hello all i want to remove the dynamo, convert it to negative earth and put a alternator on my 2.25 petrol 2a iv taken off the dynamo hoping to adapt the mounting to fit a alternator but found that its part of the block ive thought of a way i can mount the alternator on it but the pully will be about 2-3 inches behind the belt line can i make up a extention bar and mount the pully onto this to bruing it in line or will this be a bit of a bodge and summin end up flying off? i was thinking bout a inch solid bar machined to fit the pully and then have a male and female thread on the ends? or is there any other way to mount the alternator? the alternator i will be using is from a ford and is a 70a one thanks
