its a new sender unit 2000miles/2 months ago and only saturday before i refitted a new fuel filter i blew he pipe back, there is good flow as i forgot to take the cap off and the tank built up pressure and rebled the pipe back to the filter lol

i fitted one that came in a bearmach box from challenger 4x4 as they were the only ones who had one and i was passing

strange things happening foot to floor goin up hill and it dies, take foot off pedal slightley and you can here the turbo boosting and it makes more power this is at about 55-60mph???

i know the discoverys have but lookin at the defender there dont seem to be one, i was goin to fit one inline but the state of the bulkhead i didnt want to take the filterhousing off and not be able to put it back on as the bolts would rip the bulkhead lol

inly recentley ive notices my 200tdi to be lacking in power and dying on slight hills that you find ion the motorways on the m3 from london to fleet it sits happy at 60-65 after it took a wile to get there but when i get to the slight hills before fleet services it slows right down to 50-55 with the need to drop in 4th or even 3rd?? there is turbo whistle that hasnt changed in the last few weeks, theres no split pipes or loose jublee clips on the inlet side it doesnt smoke under load the fuel filter is a new one, the air filter is a k&n cleaned out last weekend, the fuel lines have been blown back from filter to tank and filter to main pump what i did notice is the fuel lift pump wasnt working but have changed this and still no difference# im just running out on things that i need to check on cuch a simple engine any ideas?? one last thing, for the last 6 weeks i have been running on water contaminated diesel filtered through a mr funnel funnel filter. last weekend i got a full tank from a petrol station and thats when the problem started

i put tape round the ends of braided gas hose to stop people pricking them selfs wen they fit the pipe

wile your at it weld on a wheel nut to your hub nut socket so you can use the wheel brace or if you use a strong arm bar and socket to undoo it, it makes life so much easyer

never doin that again i can tell u, it didnt seem this hard 6 years ago and i used to do the whole car back then?? well polished it with megs stuff guick wax with megs stuff cleaned windows dressed tyres with megs stuff it was a pick up so all i did was wings doors bonnet rear tub and back and the back of cab didnt bother with hinges or bulkhead bits ass too many sticky out bits made it difficult to do in one go lol but at least wen i wash it next time it wont feel like im cleaning sandpaper puty pix up tomorrow once i got it out garage in daylight

i was getting filters for my 200tdi defender from halfords 3.50 each for fuel and oil filter with trade card isnt bad but they dont list for td5 as i wanted a fuel filter for one of thoes as well my td5 dont have the water sensor in the bottom either

stage one compleet last night i washed the car badley in the dark and dried it, put it in the garage and didnt do a bad job as i couldnt see much lol stuck the heater on and used the airline to blow excess water from out under the cappings vent flaps hinges ect ready to put the polish on tonight

cant you just redrill the holes in the middle of the original ones so you can have either way round lol

i ment as in thats my security lol, dout a 22 air rifle will do much anyway plus the car in the garage so nouthing on show to the outside world lol

i saw either mods or wellers the wrong way round on a 90 once on a laning trip i never did get to ask him if it was straight fit on or if there was something that needed doin maybe retaper the bolt holes??

0n my 1990 90 the log book says 90 4c sw dt diesel, sw station wagon yes? vin decoding it says pick up, utility, or soft top?? my other 90 on a 1994 the log book says light utility 4x4 vin decoding also says pick up, utility, or soft top i may play dumb and go with the flow chart as the 1990 will have seats in the back and a canvas top but no windows and the 1994 has windows in the back and 2 seats like sum people i no need to go into london but being so close i may well do

just want a bit of a shine and a easyer job when i come to wash it again in 6 months time lol im only goin to do the wings, bonnet, doors and rear tub and back door as there the easyest to do with out messing about goin round the hinges or bits lol being a pick up theres not much to do anyway

at the mo it dont go anywhere near mud or dirt as its only been on the road for 6 months and i have another for them sort of things i built and sprayed it myself at work using enamal paint that all i needed to do was add thinners to put it through a spary gun and since then its only had one wash in december, can u tell it dont get used much lol i need to wash it again and was thinking should i give it a once over with t cut as it hasnt had one yet and then wax it with something?? the last time i polished a car was in my vw days about 6 years ago and all i used was auto glim stuff but that was good paint allready and never needed cutting back to give it a shine

just had my new bearing delivered, same as originla a timken one at a cos of 19 quid plus the vat just hope it takes most if not all the play out

2000 miles wernt enough of pinion play, 65mph till the unbalenced wheels shake was ok but at 55 with prop vibration was just too much lol

yea im goin to take it to work weld it up grind a bit here and there and put it back in lol
