  1. what engine is these is it the td4 or another ytpe of diesel? she said the askin price is about £5000 but i have not seen the adveert just yet to see the spec of the car
  2. what happens if there the other way round?? lets say procomps with no boots on them, the rear unless you have pin pin mount can go one way and what if you put the fronts upside down
  3. the rear flexy pipe is same lengh as the standard rubber one i got a set of goodridge ones as said a set of 4 the fronts were longer but the rear was the same, i then got some britpart ones again the front was longer but the rear was the same so i got company in high wycomb to make me 3 all +2" than the standard samples and cost about the same as buying a set and they were goodridge pipe and ends
  4. i just wanted to see what it was like to sit in the back of my 90 on the bench seat. now im not a big person but my bum dont fir on the seat propley? i think the last owner had fitted them extra as the rear windows were a extra fit, i can tell this because the vertical strenghening bit has been removed from the nmiddle of the side my question is, how much overhang does there need to be from the edge of the seat to the edge of the arch box as at the mo there is 6cm, this dont seem to be enough as the seat is always down and i still have room in the back??
  5. hello all a friend of mine wants to get a 53 reg freelander diesel she just wants to know wot there like and what to look out for, its covered 73000 miles thats all ive been told thanks
  6. thanks western but its the lucas number thats stamped on the motor and not the landrover part number, i allready gave him that but with no joy, i have a 2006 lucas landrover oparts catalog but it isnt in there either
  7. thats probley why they got 8" or so signs on the post at the byway letting you know what is and isnt aloud down them, only seen them on the surrey ones the last year or so, should start putting them everywhere thats wot i like about some of the hampshire ones u dont get as much walkers on them nor that many other laners tbh, they do seem to do a few bike runs along them tho i have seen the pre warning signs on the posts now
  8. hello im after the part number from the lucas wiper motor that is fitted to pre td5 90 and 110 if you have one thats not on a car i cant get to mine for a few days and i want to see if my local auto electrical place can get the park switch and at what price thanks
  9. yea it is, just too bloody expensive lol allready i have a £200 recharge im due when i get paid to get it thru the mot and get my extras fitted lol fitted my 2nd battery with split charge system and run new winch power cables as the cable i ran before was shorting sumwhere so i had to replace it just need to run a bit of 3 core for the in cab winch control then thats it for a few days as i would like to got home at 530 a few evenins and not 830 becasus of working on the landrover lol ive still yet to fit the winch rope to my other car, the winch has been on it for 3 weeks now lol
  10. i try my local electrical place for longer pin switches as they had some when i needed them for my td5 build, as they hadnt sold any for years all i had to do was donate to there tea and coffee fund i will be ordering one of those then i think to see if that cures it or i may just live with it as im planing to either sell or rebuild it early next year and it needs a new bulkhead
  11. things have started working lol im fitted my new 36LED interior light, the switch on the dash works aswell, what i have found is that as my oors dont close propley the light stays on so i will be getting myself some longer ones heated rear window now works, bashed the relays about a bit, cleaned the terminals and fitted a missing bulbe in the dash and that works, well it lights up anyway not had the chance to see if it demists this wiper parking problem, ive changed the relay from a mates that is working but still no intermitent and self parking, the white bit on the motor, can this be adjusted or replaced because when i switch it to intermitint i hear a clicking noise coming from the motor or is it new motor? think thats it for now lol
  12. to join plastic to plastic pipe my mate uses the brass compression fit joiners, they been on his disco for a few years now
  13. the one with the pub at the end its not the chalk hill one with nice axle twisters with a pond at the top is it? thats been closed for years now
  14. i wish i never started lol i prefer the way the td5 wires are behind the dash much neater lol this wire i found up on the roof, theres power to it all the time with the doors open or closed, switch the switch and still power to it switch it again(or other way depending where it was) and the power goes out, shud these wires turn on when the front doors open? the fuel guage, all wires are on good and tight with no corrosion, ive ordered a sender unit as they wernt that expensive the rear wash wipe im goin to leave for now ive also found the heated rear window not to work, no light on dash nor is the relay clicking the fuse is ok but im not getting power either side of the fuse so where is the power from this come from i have a link to the td5 wire diagram but not for the 200tdi, where can i find this?
  15. we ended up doin sum around basingstoke and alton way yesterday as we did the surrey ones thursday nite and wanted summin different did u get much hassle with the walkers and horse riders? thats y the surrey lanes are good in the nite so u dont get the idiots who dont know wots aloud on the lanes complaining to u lol
  16. ok cool thanks again ill be taking things apart this week ready for playing at the weekend need to fit sun grab handles aswell so the girlfriend wont get thrown about lol
  17. ok i try my best simon thanks for that western, have some more questions for your answers whats and park switch and where will that be. the relay, is this in the fuse box below the dash above the transmission tunnel? the fuel guage problem, its not the guage because when i joined the 2 wires from the sender the guage shot up no problems, just need to see if i can take it out the tank with out braking anything lol the switch doesnt do anything when switched, i have found 2 wires and yea it is purple and i think a black one with bullet connectors on , take it theres another loom that needs to be connected to this? for the front and/or back lights as it has back windows and seats or is there not a light in the back? another thing my car has rear wash and wipe but no switches in the front for this? either theyve been taken out or my car was not a sw as it came out the factory, it couldnt of been a pick up as theres no brackes for a drop down tailgate then again it has had a new rear crossmember so id never know?
  18. ive got sum electrical problems on my 1993 200tdi 90 the wipers, no intermitent function and when you switch on and then switch off they park where they got switched off at, not the normal park position when the fullbeam is on and i turn the engine off theres a buzzing behind the clocks and when the engine is started again it knocks out the nearside head and main beam the fuel guage dont go to full, filled up yesterday and the only goes half way, when driving with a full tank the guage sometimes wonders from half to empty theres a switch on the dashwith a pic of a light, it has 3 positions, is this a interior light switch? i have the door pins but no lights and i want to fit sum, where do the wires that go to the head lining come from, is it behind the dash like the td5 or elsewhere?
  19. im goin out that way tonite doin the coldharbor one the shere one and the one near leatherhead way may even go asfar out as frensham common way depends if my mate wants to go that far out lol i just got mine mot'd yesterday and went out for a bit last nite on my own i live in ashford so not a million miles away
  20. ive dun it now i got a bit of 20x20 angle and fitted it then welded nuts to that angle so i can bolt the plate on to the nuts as it needed a bit of a spacing, park brake now works, just hope it holds for mot then i go and see my mate neb and nick sum parts from him lol
  21. i had a look under a c reg 110 and that has the same bracket set up with screws on the back of the box would love a x brake but dont have the cash at the mo for one other way is wot i did on my 200tdi disco was put the 300tdi type brake and get rid of the linkage one im bodging summin for the mot tomorrow so we c if it fails on lots of other things i decide wot i do with it as i had to weld up all outriggers
  22. hello all i got my 1993 defender 90 200tdi up on the lift to find out why the park brake dont work found out that when the lever is pulled its twisting a bracket and not pulling out the bit that opens the shoes because there are some bolts missing the bracket needs to be fixed on the end of the transfer box but theres no bolt holes, there is bold holes on the side of the box but the bracket cant fit there is there summin bent or incorrect with the setup i have
  23. i used them to do my bulkhead, there good at doin lr parts as they also do parts for ashtree landrover
