And you can pass MOT without any problems with portals in UK? It would be impossible do to that here in slovenia. Sometimes it is a problem with snorkels and roof lights. Not to mention about lift kits... The wheels doesn`t look that bad

I used my kit from 2.5 petrol on my 200tdi conversion. IIRC all 4 cylinder motors have the same clutch parts.

I just mesure the diameter. Defenders external diameter is about 53mm, 300tdi is around 60mm. Thet exhaust from 200 and 300tdi are the same I belive... Now I`ll have to make the hole system new Cheers Dejan

I hoped that I only need to change the silencer and not the hole pipe... Are the pipes the same? Talking about the diameters?

I have the same problem, also on the passenger side... Sometimes it unlocks, sometimes it doesn`t. Any ideas? And how can I take the panel off?? Sure will be fun doing this... -

Linking can cause lots of problems. Lubricate it. -
I used the sender from petrol engine, but I belive it runs high because the diesel has higer runing temp.

Didn`t you just converted from TD to TDI? I had the same problem after the conversion.

So if I use standard 2.5 petrol exhaust on 200tdi conversion my engine will be overheating? Is it possible to solve this without changing the hole system?

I have nexen rodian M/T. Look like BFG M/T, but cheaper. But I think they are a bit too soft on a hard terrain. Although I haven`t tried it quite yet

Are transfer boxes from disco with R380 and LT77 the same? Will both fit to my LT77?

I think it is cheaper to change boxes then fitting OD. There must be a post or two on the forum already I˙m sure. Will dig it out later.

I started my engine today. I recondition it, so I couldn`t try it yet. Here is my conversion. I would need some help with transfer box change. In my defender I have LT77 gearbox. I heard it is possible to put in the disco transfer box for higer gearing. From which disovery do I need box. What modifications will I have to make? Thanks

Could somebody help me with alternator connection on my conversion from 2.5 petrol? I saw it was written on forum before, but I can not find it. Two thick brown wires are connected together to ...? And the thin one is for warning lihgt that goes to....? W is for RPM gauge IIRC? Thank you Dejan

Does it fouls on RHD? I have LHD and I don`t have any problems.

Why timing cover? At the moment I`m converting 2.5 petrol to disco 200tdi. I have the engine mounted and there was no need to change timing cover.
