As far as I'm aware the MT's are great in fresh snow, but not so in compacted stuff. ATs are probably worth a go

I replaced the drivers side with a YRM panel. Easy to do, and fitted very well. The originals are only spot-welds, You have to get a chisel under the front corner after you've drilled out the spot-welds to ease the panel out, that's the spot welded bit IIRC. Once the new panel is in place and pop-riveted, this corner can then be gently tapped back round to re-form the corner, which you can then pop-rivet. Once done, it looks great.

Bridgeports are the original & best vertical and still available new (Hardinge is the parent company ). We used to have bridgeports, but bought a couple of the copies, one is an XYZ 2000 the other is a Lillian mill with Accurite millpwr fitted, both machines have been very reliable. We've just decided to buy a HAAS minimill to do some of the repeat parts. Nice piece of kit and just right for our size parts.

If it's on start up, you could unplug the 9th injector on the side of the plenum. This is not really needed, certainly in the UK. I suppose NZ has a similar climate?

Good link, so, and I might appear to be stupid , that means ET25 would make the overall track 50mm wider, which should improve the lock?

My 90 is fitted with Wellers fitted with BFG MT's. They are marked 7K x 16. The studs have a single line marked in the end. Can anyone tell me if compomotive alloys would fit marked 7J x 16 ET25? I'm told they fit all RRC. I'm sure my axles came from a RRC. Any advice would be welcome. Cheers, Jon

My 90 used to be a 2.5D, then the previous owner had the RRC 3.5V8, auto & axles fitted. How would I stand with that? And how would that work if I replaced the chassis in the future?

Fuel pipe ok when under pressure with the pump working. Something heats up, squashes the fuel pipe, but under pressure it's ok. Turn engine off, no pressure, squashes fuel line no start.Cools down, releases fuel pipe, fuel flows, engine runs. Answer - re-route fuel line. That's not a question Nige

So it's nothing to do with MS, it runs ok until you switch it off. Then won't start until you're down to ~50deg. The temp might be coincidence. Something is expanding, running ok while switched on, turn off, cools down, releases something then allows you to start. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..................just thinking out loud

I agree, the right tool for the job does make life easier, but @ £72, a bit costly for possibly a one-off job. If I don't have any luck with the starter ring method, I might snaffle some GFS from work and knock one of the tools up.
