Hi, Im 8 solder joints into making my db37 to db37 cable, Can I not just use one of these?
-
You should have a LT230 transferbox, with selectable difflock and lowrange.
-
I have the Bolt on bits lights on mine...
-
Dont be daft! Ofcourse itll be fine if you have standard sized wheels on. 300tdi discoverys seem to do ok!
Youll find a lot of people on here have swapped to a 1.2:1 ratio lt230 to help with mpg

wowie! At those prices I'll just get some made!
Cheers Ralph!!

But if i were to want to use an external pump, what should i use?
-
custom fuel tank + MS = which external fuel pump for my 3.9?
-
I would also like to see a popular modifications sub forum, quite a lot of small styling or time saving modifications never get proper write ups!
-
well it wont be a dual mass then!!
I suspect slipped liner

Joking aside, if you got only 18mpg over 70 miles doing 50mph in 6th in a TDci 90, then there is something very wrong with it, or you left the handbrake on.
I drive a 3.5 factory V8 on carbs 90 that would do 19mpg+ under the same conditions.
I'm guessing it was a double typo and supposed to be 28mpg? As you say 18mpg is far far too low for a Tdci 90, especially on the motorway, unless towing?
Back in topic, I would go for a D3 for that sort of use - they are a very nice car if you can deal with the higher repair costs if/when things go wrong.
Absolutely no typos! My mum drives the RRS and she drives very gently
My TDCI 90 is an 08 plate with 26k on the clock. It has 235/75/16 MT's on mods, a straight through and decat. It absolutely drinks diesel.
It doesnt black smoke or give any error codes, only the usual injector rail high pressure one when its cold.
I knew it was pretty bad, which is why i did a services to services fill up to do my mpg

our 3.6 RRS tdv8 will return 40mpg on the motorway and about 28mpg locally driving.
our tdv6 disco3 returns about 36mpg on motorway and 26mpg locally.
my 2.4 tdci 90, returns 18mpg on motorway and I don't want to work out local driving.
(18mpg over a 70 mile stretch of the M1 yesterday, service station to service station, most of it in 6th gear, most of the miles were 50mph average speed check)

I live near Chesterfield, and trust me, that company has never even seen a 200bhp td5 let alone 300!!!
-
Id bet on shock bushes

Decide where your work benches will fit, floor or wall mounting points for these would be ideal - nothing worse that a wobbly insecure bench!
Also, a length of box section into the floor, with some legs under the concrete for rigidity, you can then make attachments for mounting a vice on a stand, tube bender etc etc

Right... done some research.
Discovery 2 window switches are the same, LOADS of those being broken, so they're easy to obtain.
I need two wiring looms THIS one and THIS one.
Im stumped if I can find the right electric window regulators and motors.
Im also worried that Puma's didnt have a "one loom fits all" kind of loom and i wont have anything to plug into!! time will tell, It wont be hard to custom wire in a 12v, ground and a few relays etc.
-
Has anybody done this?
Will the loom be behind the dash?
Can anyone supply the part numbers of the parts i need?
Many thanks!
