  1. so they have a 'standard electronic' and an 'electronic high energy' version. Both seem to fit the 2.6 engine. Why would I pick the more expensive one?
  2. looks great, but this really is too complicated (and overkill) for my type of use I am more looking for a straightforward swap
  3. I need to replace the distributor on my 6 cilinder series 3. I'd like to go for one of these electronic types, but you can find them at like 70 £ all the way up to over 300 £. So, simple question: which one to go for? Any help would be appreciated!
  4. I have my eyes on a LWB with the 2L diesel. Have checked the documents, and it is a 1957 serie II. Collector's item?
  5. does anybody know if Landrover exported pre-production LHD series II to Europe in 1957?
  6. where do you get zinc rich primer for only £9 a litre (and what brand)?
  7. thanks. sounds like you need a secured area to do this job, so it will have to wait a bit... (unless someone in the Liverpool region would be so kind to give some space for 2 or 3 days...)
  8. I did a search, but couldn't find much info, will try again. Do you have to take out the engine?
  9. how much work is it to replace a bulkhead on a 110 HT? Do you need any special tools?
  10. downloaded this program (trial version) and it works! excellent, thanks!
  11. if you buy a car on ebay, you can buy one of these vehicule status reports. but can you also get these outside ebay, and is it worth doing?
  12. it's the 5940, basically the same as the 5935. Damn. Did you manage to solve the problem in the end?
  13. not sure where to ask this anyway, I've tried to install MM 5 on my PDA (hp ipaq travel companion with tomtom gps software). Works fine, but as soon as I try to connect MM to the GPS, Tomtom can't find sat's anymore, nor can MM. It seems like MM blocks the GPS port any ideas?
  14. it's Brugge, or Bruhhe as we say (sorry, but we are talking about the town where I was born and raised )
  15. be carefull with Greenlaning in Belgium, especially in the French speaking part I'll pb you the email address of a friend who almost certainly has all the OS maps, albeit for Ozi, but I guess it must be possible to convert them
  16. if somebody wants to grab a bargain: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=130142972152 I am interested in the solar panels, but the missus doesn't want me te buy this trailer, so if anybody can use the sankey, but not the solar panels
  17. up still don't know if the OEM ones are progressive, and still no Kings springs dealer in the UK
  18. for sake of clarity, do you work with UK or US gallons? Makes quite a difference...
  19. well, I had seen that site, but there is no link to dealers in the UK. And no luck with google either
  20. are these the so-called progressive springs? and what about king springs?
  21. It's time to replace the springs on my 110. I have 2" lift now, but I would like to lower that to just 1". The main purpose of my landrover is travelling, with the occasional greenlaning, so no heavy offroading. So I want something that is really good on the road, also when loaded. I've heard something about progressive springs, but no idea where to get them. I've also heard good things of King springs, but I haven't found a dealer in the UK yet, and I am afraid they are a bit expensive...
  22. woow, just wooow!!! can you give us a hint of what it costs to build a camper like yours, Simon?
  23. cheap and green way of getting 30% + power: fit LPG to your 300tdi
  24. well, they took my neighbours' 90 to drive it into a shop 1 mile away... so far for the keep-it-denty strategy (mine is denty ) and in that case a tracker doesn't help either. They found his 90 back, still sitting half in the shop (and completely destroyed, they first had to drive through those protective concrete poles they install in front of shops these days)
