  4. Hi All, So here are the results for the championship. big congratulation to Rob and crew from The Offroad Armoury with a well deserved win. Big thank you for our sponsors, KAM Diffs, Gigglepin4x4, Ashcroft Transmissions and The Offroad Armoury for providing some awesome prizes for class wins at each comp and the overall championship leaderboard. A massive thank you to everyone who has helped setup, run and marshall too, please remember these guys do it all for free and without them nothing can happen. Also Chris and Jon from team 118 must get a special mention for chipping in 1/2 the cost for the last rounds entertainment Hopefully everyone had fun, we raised some good money for various charities and good causes. Please give us as much feedback as possible, good or bad it all helps. Were planning on another series next year and have learnt a lot running this one. DVD's of each round are available from mud monsters or Gigglepin, the lonewolf guys will have an online shop running soon. I'll post up detail. Well worth a watch. 6. Ah, think It's V8jon maybe, sorry on phone, so its tough to check
  7. I think jonV8 has modified his pump too, might be worth sending him a pm as he should have exactly the same setup your trying to mod.
  8. Was just thinking back, it will depend on your pump type. I just remembered that we also modified a banjo bolt type too. the restriction was the feed hole at the tip of the banjo bolt. If you inspect the whole high pressure side of the pump, the deliberate restriction should be fairly obvious as it's always the smallest hole.
  9. I've drilled out the high pressure port on a 200tdi pump that also had a larma4x4 hydro assist ram on it, the steering is really really light now even on 10psi Simex on a tarmac surface. The reservoir was then changed to a tin style range rover one due to larger capacity and built in filter. no issues yet. Very easy to drill out the pump, as the threaded section can simply be removed, drilled and then screwed back in without dumping swarf in the pump. I also used an isuzu pump when I fitted a 2.8td lump in my range rover, this made the steering slightly lighter than standard. I'd drill out the pump union a little at a time and see how you get on
  10. Right were all heading to site, any issues ring: Mark: 07961315065 Rupert: 07910884852 Competitors try and be on site no later than 6pm Sat See you all soon
  11. it's not just the LR enthusiasts that hate it, doesn't seem to be to popular with anyone http://forums.finalgear.com/automotive-news/land-rover-defender-2015-a-50838/ I think it's horrible.

I'll post full details of what's going, send team info packs tomorrow evening. Hopefully most of the guys didn't destroy their trucks at the whitbread this weekend!!
  14. sorry mate, to much dribble in the lens for the pics to come out
  15. I thought it was good, show wise better than billing. I've never been a show person, but ended up going to both for various reasons. Fireworks were nice, moto-x guys were very cool, the girls on the firetruck beer tent stand wise was very quiet. Had a really good time.
  16. north offroad do longer arms and custom mounts, but disco 2 arms could be a good option
  17. I will apparently be there making an arse of myself for AWDC/challenger areana demo too, co driving in the blue truck with a million stickers, probably hung over
  18. just to confirm, range rover ones don't fit, found out this weekend
  19. The SIP hobby regs are complete carp, I went through 3 in my bad old SIP ownership days. Leaks and shoddy springs. Going to a proper bottle pays for it's self very quickly, I also think the gas is a better quality, I know when I swapped I noticed a huge difference. The Adams bottles are a great compromise between BOC and the hobby bottles.
  20. my fun and games with my SIP 195 can be found here, http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=18884 turned out to be the transformer. Lot's of pics and comments from helpful people
  21. the H14's are design to run with a high rpm 28cc (I think) hydraulic motor, from the factory they come with a 25cc (ish) PTO driven pump rated at 180-190bar. So to work properly you need very good flow and high pressure. Your power steering pump will be capable of neither I'm afraid
  22. just a quick note, all those having trouble with the clutch bleed on series and some defenders, cut an old ring spanner down till it's about 2 inches long. very easy job then (yes the design is carp) my personal favourite the 200tdi defender down pipe clamping to the block, every single one I have come across has never been put back together as it's such a bitch to get the front bolt in!! and the rear cross member is way to complex and a giant mud trap, along with the stupid holes in the out riggers.... I could go on but everyone has covered it I think
  23. Just a quick post of current competitor list, give me a shout if you think you should be there, but aren't: Truck No, Team Name, Driver, Co Driver, truck, Class 007, Mud Monster 1, Mark McMillen, Andy Pearce, best 90 ever, Challenge V8, OBOS, Jon Beagley, Stephan T, Trayback- V8 90, Challenge 69, Off-road Armoury, Rob Butler, Andy Marshall, Jimny Trayback, Modified 2, Twin Axle, Graham Fuller, Stu Hammond, Defender 90 king cab, Challenge 17, , Gillian Bilkey, Vic Bilkey, 90, Challenge 25, Chubsters, paul hooper, rich green, trayback 100" defender 300 tdi, Challenge 22, Fat Boys, wayne mc nulty, david mc nulty, 90 Trayback, Challenge 19, , Henry Day, Taz, Trayback Dau-land-su, Modified 43, Broken, John Piper, Andy Smith, , Challenge 30, The South Islanders, Will Overton, Alec Twitchen, jeep wrangler tj, Challenge 13, Unlucky 13, Andrea Berquez, Nicky Mileham, defender 100inch trayback, Modified 26, Billy Boy, richard maxted, peter maxted, suzuki sj, Modified new, , Craig Jenkins, , , new, , Steven Edney, , , 36, , Rupert Deane, Edward Neeve, 100 Trayback, Super
