  6. our 300tdi disco has all of a sudden developed a very sloppy gear lever, will engauge gears ok, (when i can find em)but becoming a bit of a pain to say the least,i am assuming it could be the gate plate or springs, if so how dificult are they to do. any advice would be greatly recieved many thanks in advance. ron.
  7. having been in the position where i have lent people kit and nevr had it returned, (volvo owners club members mainly) i would say do as i have had to do, go and buy your own,, or words to that effect. ron, .
  8. your going to need a new or recon injector pump, we had the same problem on our 200 tdi disco, not a cheap fix unfortunately, ron.
  9. 300tdi only have mechanical pumps, v8s have the electric ones, as mentioned the fuse is left out if its the tdi as it serves no purpose. ron.
  10. newbie here! looks rather good without the bull bar ours had one on but got shut of it asap looks so much better without. p s, it's a bit shiney but ooooh it do look nice, ron,
  11. if you look down by the vacuum pump. is it oily round the outer casing???. if so it will probably be the casing rivets starting to loosen and leak,or also could be the pump to engine gasket leaking. another place to check is of course the rocker cover gasket they are a bit of a swine to get to seal right. ron.
  12. as already suggested, may not be head gasket.try to get a compression test or take it into a decent garage they can do a sniff test in yout header tank which will give you a better idea of whats going on. are you suffering from overheating( the car that is, not you)also check the carpet by the footwell both sides it may well be heater matrix, good luck with it, will be interested to know what it is .. ron.
