  1. Had it to the petrol station and back last weekend it was fine then. To be honest iv not really got it on the road yet. Got a few wee issues to sort before MOT like lack of indicators, no fog light and bit welding on crossmember.
  2. Ok so today I went to take the 90 a spin after a new set of discs and pads and she jumped out of high range. Got it back in but barely got moving and it jumped out again. Drove the 1/4ml home in low range no probs but it just refuses to stay in high. Iv tried rocking it whilst selecting high but still didn't help. The lever just dosent feel like it's fully locating. Could it be I just need to adjust something or does it sound more serious? Cheers
  3. New towbar i assume came from a much newer vehicle. It also has caravan electrics but thats a question iv yet to approach. Im thinking for that i need a voltage sensitive split charge for starters.
  4. So I'm guessing I don't have to connect the purple that's on the new towbar
  5. Ah. Them colours are what's on the new tow bar but the solid colours are what's on the loom. Can they be mated?
  6. Ok so on my old plug i have a red, yellow, blue, brown, green, black and a white wire but on the tow bar i bought at the weekend i have a purple, black, red/orange, red/yellow, red/black, green/white, green/red, green/brown and green/purple wires. Would anybody know which corresponds to which?
  7. They confirm my assemblys ok. I just need to figure out how to get the rear to sit higher
  8. Ok so iv replaced the hazard switch and checked all the earths but still no joy. The new hazard switch wouldnt light up any direction lamp but once i refitted the old switch the driver side started working but then when i flicked the stalk to the left everything stopped. Iv flicked of the hazard switch and i can hear the relay clicking away but no lights but trailer and indicator dash lights are flashing dim. When i turn stalk to the right the right indicators work fine. Im suspecting the stalk. Would anyone else agree or do we think im looking in the wrong place?
  9. Will have to strip it all out and sort it out when i get more time. Hopefully the hazard switch will solve the indicator problem
  10. Finally at the weekend I got my exhaust fitted to my 1986 300tdi/lt77 conversion 90 but it just seems to sit way too low at the back. I also need hanger brackets but still doubt it's gona sit any better with them on. It's a Steve Parker downpipe with a 2.5td system. Would any of you kind gents have a picture or link to one that I could use to help me route it properly.
  11. Whilst checking the wiring iv found a blue/red wire connected to a blue/white but the other end of the blue/white just hangs loose. The blue/white blue/red is connected with the dreaded scotch lock and iv tried connecting the blue/whites together and disconnecting the blue/red there's no difference in anything.
  12. Cheers. Hazard switch isn't operating any lights. Will try and dig out my spare
  13. Ok so iv been replacing the old worn out lights on my 90 as a few lenses were cracked and I had a front nearside indicator not working. Iv also replaced the complete unit on that indicator but still it dosent work. Now all lights and indicators were working besides this one but today the nearside rear is out and the side one flashes very dim and slow. Any ideas as iv ran out? Cheers
  14. Absolutley no pressure at all in the pedal other than that of the spring. Will pull out the slave and check the rod. I have the 300 cable adjusted as far as it goes and it still idles hard. Will just reinstall the old na cable and see how it goes.
  15. Ok so today I found my earth problem and got the 300tdi fired up but unfortunately I can't move it as I can't get the clutch to bleed. After a post last week I took the advice and bought new slave and master cylinder but still it won't bleed. I know the pipes clear as iv run fluid down it. Is there anything else I could be missing? Also I fitted a 300tdi accelerator cable but even on full adjustment it runs at a high idle. Can I use the original 2.5na cable or is there another cable I can use?
  16. Ok lads looking for a bit help. Im looking at an axle in lincoln but unfortunatley its about a 4hr drive from me. Would any of you know of someone who might could get it up to Scottish Borders or bring it to Billing on the Saturday? Cheers
  17. Nipple is uppermost, tried reverse bleeding and ended up with black sludge flowing into the bottle. Now there's nothing coming out at all. If I blow the airline up from the slave there's bubbles in the reservoir so I'm assuming it's all clear. For the sake of £20 I'll change the master cylinder and see if that cures it.
  18. Found a crush in the pipe so changed it. Still won't bleed
  19. Ok so when trying to start my 300tdi converted 90 for the first time today it turned over a few times but never fired. Other times it wouldn't do nothing. Also I had the hazards on checking they worked and when I opened the door they went off but on shaking the vehicle they came on. Currently I have an earth from battery negative to back of transfer box and another from battery to starter as well as the main earth from the battery to chassis.
  20. Went to bleed my clutch today but no matter how many times we pump the pedal no fluid comes out the slave cylinder. Is there a specific way of bleeding it or do we reckon my clutch servos gone?
  21. Finally got the fuel banjo iv been waiting on so today got round to fitting it and trying to fire it up. It croaked and for a split second started then immediately shut off again then just cawed and cawed but wouldn't fire. I'm assuming it just burnt off what fuel was in the pipes. The filter is empty so I tried priming it with the lift pump but there's no resistance whatsoever in the pump. Could the pump be at fault?
  22. Cheers, think iv found the right one now on lrseries
  23. Cheers, do you know if you can do away with it and put a t piece in or is it needed for a reason?
  24. Attached it to a small bolt at the side of the block for now
