  1. Apparently THIS is the Santana 'replacement'..... now called the Iveco Massif There is a thread on Mud club HERE, Not too sure on the graphics down the side but it looks like a nice vehicle for work, would certainly be more preferable than the old hilux (with NO windows and only 1 door ) that we have on the farm!!

  3. There was a guy on ebay selling fibreglass bonnets/panels recently, didnt see 07 bonnets (and he has no adverts on there now) I think he was down in somerset direction, they seemed very reasonable too. Althernatively, maybe this? Fibreglass bonnet Also, in November LRW (page 107) is a company advertising a 'B-tec bonnet' which i would imagine is fibreglass, it looks hidious IMO it has a HUGE bulge/air intake in the middle of the bonnet, but it may be to some peoples liking. I ll try to find some pictures of it (havent got a scanner)

  15. I only bought the bent rear hoop, cross brace and the rear stays, all in cds.... i think i paid somewhere near £150-£180 The cage pictured above is the competition cage for D4x4 which, ready to weld, is £ 899.00 ex VAT according to their website
  16. In terms of fit, this has to be up there with the best surely?! Protection and Performance, i have just bought the rear hoop and stays, just need to weld them up and get a front hoop
  17. Having lost young friends a few years back in an accident on the outskirts of horsham in a freelander, its hard to find the (correct) words to type, there will be lots of questions that can never be answered, but knowing people are thinking of you is a comfort. I pray the people involved can find comfort and 'heal' in the quickest way possible
  18. Pictures from the first hour today....... Camera batteries died after that
  19. As the title says really.... Can you post up pictures of your rear winch mounts (replacement rear crossmembers etc) and the advantages/problems/different approaches etc I have read about the various versions that Hybrid from hell made, and the problems/solutuions, the initial mount looked good to me but still had problems, whereas other people seem to just weld a plate between the chassis rails and get away with it!
  20. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sankey-1-Ton-Bridgin...Item"] This://http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sankey-1-Ton-...tem"] This seems like it would make a good base for a camping trailer. I dont know whether the track width is different but the extra chassis length would be useful space to have
  21. There is lots of talk about 'stiffling' the development of the vehicles and how offroading needs to move forward, but would the 'super-dooper, all singing, unrestricted non-road legal vehicles' actually stop the competitions advancing?! Bear with me please! I am not very good with words and it'll probably not come out how i mean A while back on d4x4 there was a discussion regarding the future of uk events (not the vehicles), if i remember correctly it was discussing how the uk is being left behind in terms of decent events, there was also discussion about a 5 day (or certainly a longer) event. If people are travelling abroad to events such as RFC/ladoga/croatia trophy etc which are a longer 'tougher' events then surely there must be a market for a longer event in the uk? Obviously there are other attractions to going abroad... Sights/location/the sheer hell of it/locals/local beverages However the uk doesnt have the space like lots of other countries (i know i wouldnt like to spend X amount of days driving around in the same quarry), even the spaces we ARE aloowed to use are becoming more restricted If we allow vehicles to not be road legal then are we restricting the events themselves? There cant be many sites in the uk that could be home to a longer event due to size surely? The terrain of some events (ladoga?) vary vastly, is there a site in the uk that has all these different terrains? If we were to have an event to compete with some of the 'big' events then we need to offer the space and the varied terrain.... To do this (i have finally reached my point! ) then i think the only real way to do this is to use multiple sites.... for which there would need to be road sections. Personally i reckon that all competing vehicles should all be road legal. There is a lot of enjoyment in building and developing a conpetition car, finding new ways to overcome a problem/situation. Can 'keeping it road legal' not be added to that? trying to find a solution as to how to achieve what you want and be MOTed? I know it is hassle though. Sorry to deviate slightly off-topic, i hope you all see the point i am trying to make... even if it isnt very clear
  22. Have you seen this Trailer? There arent many detail about it
  23. Foley maybe?? I cant see anything like you describe on their website but they have built some big campers in the past. Didnt they build that huge yellow 6x6 camper that the vets crashed/rolled in africa on a bbc programme? edited to answer myself! This one
