  1. Another thumbs up for ADAC. I used to pay A.Flux to provide cover but they only cover vehicles with a GROSS weight less than 2.500 kg. I,m surprised they manage to sell it at all, my unladen weight is 2.210kg.. Adac even cover large motorhomes http://www.adac.de/mitgliedschaft/adac_membership/default.aspx Gaz
  2. I went with a few friends, we had a good day (we usually do) I spent about £150 too much but i,m sure I will make that back when we go to sell at Newbury We were a bit annoyed though when traders started to pack up and go home at 1.30 onwards. Is it too much to ask for sellers to stay the course and at least hang on til about 3.00. When our team go to Newbury to sell, we stay until the public have left at about 5.00pm and quite often sell a fair few items to other traders at the last minute. I cant help thinking that they are losing out by leaving early. (It did mean we had an extra hour in pub on way home tho Gaz (team topstores )
  3. Err I think it says £68.00 guys Gaz
  4. Was it a hard one or a soft vinyl thing? Wifey and I saw a truck last year driving past us up the motorway (cant remember what type 4x4 now tho, something foreign I think) with his spare wheel cover blowing and swaying in the wind behind him, 2 miles further on we saw a coach swerve wildly to the hard shoulder then back again to the right.. Yep you guessed it, the hard wheel cover had come off in the left lane directly in front of the coach, the driver went left.. only to see another vehicle parked in the hard shoulder and had to swerve straight back on to the motorway to miss it. No sign of the 4x4 though, I presume he didnt notice anything as it all happened behind him. I bet he thought some scally had nicked it though when he stopped. Gaz
  5. I,m not sure of my info, but I was told the uj,s were actually used on Jaguar steering assemblies, I wasnt told of the model though. I,m quite fortunate that I have a couple of good spares complete with yokes, now if you want really rare.... try finding the front yoke with the hexagonal drive. Gaz
  6. The land rover one I had was an exact copy of the Mantec RAI just badged Land Rover and 2x the price of a Mantec. When my Land Rover one was stolen I replaced it with a Mantec one from Flatdog who were the cheapest suppliers I could find for Mantec parts, I phoned and ordered it and it was delivered next day. Very happy with the service. Gaz
  7. You can buy the genuine seals from PA Blanchards @ £8 NRC 5364 Gaz
  8. I had similar problems, mine is a 130 single cab with a quadtech 3 backbody, most systems only show single cabs as pickup trucks. I even had a phone call off an underwriter for Lancaster insurance to tell me she could find no mention that L/Rover actually made it.. I sent her pics of the camel trophy trucks in the same build pattern and they still refused me.. Happily i,m now with Academy Insurance of Staines (ex snowball) who seem to have no problem dealing with it. I think I paid in the region of £230 with guaranteed no claims etc Gaz
  9. Hi Keith, I know APB sell them, but they won,t be cheap as I think he imports them APB 01299 250174 Gaz
  10. Hi Guys Anybody ever managed to fit one of the disco/freelander preheaters to another motor? Cuz I got one sitting in my lockup waiting for me to find the wiring details, and I could do with a nice warm truck to start the day with Gaz
