  1. I am looking at these from Discoparts: http://www.discoparts.com/asp/d-no.asp?Pro...amp;SubCatID=31
  2. I agree, they seen to have a factual approach to legislation not the headless chicken thinking that some of these "OMG look what the government is up to" sites often have.
  3. As it says on the tin, need to protect lower front wing, doors, and rear wings. Matt
  4. Thanks for the info chaps.
  5. I am not going to rise Ian, if that's the best you can do...
  6. The fact they are in Devon? Bloomin' English Rednecks
  7. Hang on a sec guys, if they were Asian or Black you wouldn't consider generalising - please treat the Cornish with the same respect. It's bloody Devon anyway!
  8. I have a colour code of 601 on my Disco, this relates to both: ROVER NIGHTFIRE II/RIOJA RED 601/CAQ 1995 1999 METALLIC and ROVER RIOJA RED PEARL CAQ/601 1996 - METALLIC So how the hell do I know which one it is?
  9. It's not stupidity, it is built in obsolescence. Matt
  10. Thanks for the info, I'll give that a go later. Matt
  11. I've just aquired a 300TDi which has no movement from the Rev counter at all, I did a con test on the grey/white wire and it is fine, the terminals on the alt are clean and it has a new spade connector - what's next to check? Matt
  12. No the weld in ones, infact it needs a whole rear 1/4. Matt
  13. Don't forget the VW scene, it's rife with illegal vehicles esp. beach buggies!
  14. I was trawling through this site and google to try to find the legislation from HMRC about the duty on biodiesel and here it is: HMRC - Duty on Biofuels FYI Matt
  15. Just a quickie. I believe there to be two main manufacturers of pattern rear crossmembers for the 90. One is carp, the other is good from what I have been told, but I can't remember which is which and who sells which one. Has anyone got experience of these that is prepared to offer advice? Matt
  16. That's buying it from the pump though, the oil companies aren't passing the lower duty on to the customer. It's the same with all these green initiatives, they provide a good way of tugging on your concience to make you pay as much for cheap to produce solutions as the ones produced at normal cost. As more people subscribe to the green agenda so the cost will rise. Simple solution, make your own.
  17. Well no suprises there matey. We haven't seen snow since the last ice ace have we?
  18. I don't know yet matey, he's coming over tonight now. Matt
  19. Thanks mate, you may know the car - I'll PM you. Matt
  20. Thanks for all the sound advice, one local chap did tell me since posting this that he'd heard this truck running and it was basically a diesel making the noise diesels make. Apparently the owner is used to petrol turbo's and describes any diesle as rattly. Is that likely? Matt
  21. He's offering a straight swap for my 3.5 V8. I thought that was quite a good deal as they go for about £250 compared to about £450 for the oil burner. Matt
