  1. They are usally onl lh but the bloke who owns that rangie has made a mould for rh ones and it about to start making them for sale.
  2. True, but if you are copying a copy from drive to drive it can cause reading errors, most copying will be done to hdd first as you said for shrinking or decrypting.
  3. Spectacular scenery, where the hell do you get firewood from ? a distinct lack of trees i see.
  4. If you are copying from disc to disc, you need to have both drives on seperate ide cables, so the dvd rom on the same cable as your hdd ( primary ide cable, unless using sata cable ) and the dvd rw on the secondary ide cable. Can recomend dvd shrink, i found most copying errors are re clycic redundancy errors, meaning it is having trouble reading the disc.
  5. Here are dual snorkles on an 83 RRC with 6.5 chev diesel.Dual snorkles
  6. I would keep your transfer, the zf wont sap as much power as the 727 so you will end up with a high overdrive gear.
  7. Hi, i am planning the same swap very soon along with a 4.4 ltr leyland V8. From what i have found the zf will bolt straight in place of the tf727 using the same transfer case but mounts are slightly different, get the brackets with the zf if you can they use the same mounting holes in the chassis. The early zf cars use the same dunny brush oil cooler so as long as you have the zf lines it will all fit. The higher ratio's in the tf t/case will only help reduce revs on the highway and wont be any slower than it was with the tf - not that it is possible !
  8. There are plenty of cheap classic rangies about, some with lpg or even a tdi conversion. Disco's are getting cheaper too, there are some from about 2000 pounds up for petrol, 3500 and up for a tdi.
  9. Also check the the fittings on the carbs where the flametrap hose connects to, these are often blocked solid with carp preventing proper circulation of pressurised gases. And while your at it check the oil level in the carby dash pots, mine was running carp on petrol and lpg untill i topped them with oil and now its running better than ever !
  10. I have just fitted a similar lpg setup to my 85' carb rangie, i noticed that before i fitted the filter housing and elbows back on it wouldnt idle or run under 1000 rpm due to lack of vacumn. How thick are your mixers ? Mine are about 1/2 " and the original filter still fits. I was having probs with mine so i have just replaced the 2nd hand converter i had with a newy ands its running fine now. Whats with the stepper motor on a carb / lpg car? you obviously dont use petrol then if you have gutted the carbs.
  11. Melbourne, NE burbs- not too far a drive from Toolangi,Kinglake, Healesville etc.
