  1. Ok it’s actually brown and red if that makes a difference? Here’s all the connections on the back. They look ok?
  2. The landy has a DIY switch that disconnects the solenoid on the fuel pump for anti theft. Would it maybe be that? The wire that runs from the DIY switch to solenoid on fuel pump isn’t red as far as I know 🤔
  3. UPDATE .... Haven't managed to get the relays changed over yet but an interesting thing (annoying) happened this evening. After work I went out to grab some log rounds I seen getting sliced up today by the council. So on the back roads the landy suddenly lost all power and conked out 🙄 turning the key it started again, then let key go and it stopped. Did this a few times. Then nothing..... could hear all the clicking still from the old relays. As I said in a previous comment would a dodgy ignition barrel be at fault. Took off all the steering column to get into the rear of the barrel better. Put key in and tried to push/shove all the wires one by one. Upon pulling the large red wire towards me it started up. And it seemed stronger (better glow plug and starter) as I held it towards me. So managed to get home. Touching the red wire away from me stopped the truck. Did it again pulling it towards me and all good. Sooo...... what the heck is it? Poor connection outside barrel? Innards of barrel? I’ve got new relays I’ll still put in but at least now I’ve got the problem 😎
  4. Yes Ralph it all got connected again. Pinch with pliers to secure the connection. 👍
  5. So update.... Still no relay delivery so they are still to be switched to new. All the contacts on live and solenoid wires cleaned. Actually didn’t seem too bad. But they all got a good clean. Seems a bit better but it still takes a second for the starter to kick in 🤔 once it does all is fine. Also managed a log run into the woods 🔥🙌
  6. Thanks Reb78, I’ll be getting in there this weekend hopefully. Got a camping weekend coming up soon so don’t to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with this. I was going to take starter motor out and give it a good talking to!! 😂👍
  7. Earth strap cleaned at gearbox and chassis. Weekend I’ll get the live wire off the solenoid and clean those up too.
  8. Managed a wee bit of time on it, the picture with three relays in it is the one that’s clicking so I’m assuming that’s ok? No idea what the 12v black one is? The relay with yellow wires going into it is the one that clicks. I’ll order new anyway as they look tired. time to check the earth strap
  9. Thanks boys, would a dodgy ignition barrel be to blame possibly? Just a thought.... but all things seem to be pointing at the earths/terminals being in need of some TLC.
  10. Everything getting cleaned then at the weekend 😎👍
  11. Thanks Ralph will look later. aye Mav they don’t have too many which is good. I’ve seen somewhere else it might be connection problems with the relays so a good clean all round at the weekend hopefully do the trick.
  12. Could it be possible it’s on its way out? I’ll see if there’s a part number on it when I’m in there just Incase.
  13. Thanks Mav, I didn’t realise about the mobile app. its a 110 1987 2.5na diesel. The battery clamp is ok but not sure of the other end. I’ll get onto it at the weekend. No harm in cleaning them all. Hopefully that’s the problem, all other thoughts welcome. Still wondering what the clicking is though. 🤔
  14. Evening, so over the weekend I came across an issue with the Landy starting... Upon going to start it up by turning the key to ignition, there’s a “click” from what seems the fuse box area and behind. Went a further turn on key for glow plugs...... then went one more to start, (after a delay) and all went dead..... no lights on dash. No starter motor turning..... is there a relay in the wiring area behind the fuses just in front of the gear stick? After a few attempts it fired up as usual.... earths to starter?
  15. Am I right in thinking operation resolute was part of the endeavor operation in Bosnia?
  16. Thanks Ralph, so basically a medical support trailer. Looks like the original shocks on it which I’ll get round to changing. Leaf springs look ok for the time being. Still need to change over these 24v bulbs to 12v and can’t get these blooming fog lights off. But it’s a nice way to spend the weekend. 😊👍 Charlie 😎
  17. Hi folks, so I finally got round to treating myself to a MKII Sankey trailer wide track. 😀😎 could anyone tell me where it’s been in service from the details in the picture? 1985 I see, so it’s in blooming good nick !!
  18. Can’t see anything different about the screw on fixtures Ralph.... totally agree about plusgas,.....after all..... it took them 40 attempts to disperse water 😎🙌 The rear of the tail and fog lamps have three nuts on bolts.. they loosen up but don’t come off..... just another challenge
  19. @Bowie69 spot on ! I changed the blue bullet connector to the salvaged longer one. Fitted much better. 😎 the fog lamps need changing to 12v as they are currently 24v. I can’t get them off. My hands are aching from trying. Also the front white tail light is seized..... any trick to get em off?
  20. Who ever did it before Ralph spliced the two together. It was a surprise. And I’m not sure where to plug them in individually. So if one bulb goes... they all go?
