  1. I also noticed the brown and black wire were connected together for the tail lights.... would this be ok? It’s working ok.
  2. Will do bowie69, I’m not happy with the bulletin connectors. I’ll try them out again tomorrow storm Ciara permitting. Hopefully it’s just loose.
  3. Winner winner chicken dinner !! So after wrestling with spaghetti junction, all wires eventually went in. I think I might get better bullet connectors as the ones that came out were longer than the blue ones I have. Initial test, indicators all ok, tail lights ok back and front. Front kinda dim so will replace with new lamps to see if that helps. Nearside rear brake light didn’t work. Changed lamp and squirted WD40 all brake light now works. New reg plate (I won’t post it as you might not like me😂) convoy light that works as the reg plate light was working. Badly corroded. In the process of changing it to a new one I bought for the landy a couple of years ago. Just a bit of footering will fix that. Theres an additional convoy light below the Sankey. Doesn’t work..... I’m assuming that’s because it’s a civvy plug? Overall very happy with the new addition. Everything just needs some TLC I reckon. 😎✅ 5BE45F32-8C58-4199-8A2D-1EE8142E0B15.MP4
  4. Here’s hoping all goes well tomorrow. Trying to get it finished and a few jobs done on the Sankey before the storm hits this weekend 👍💨🌪
  5. Suppose that would eliminate old cable that might be tired. Had an hour again after work. Got a little bit more done.
  6. So you recommend tracing the factory loom and connect them to the yellow wires exactly like it’s been done before rather than use the old factory loom?
  7. I think I may have struck it lucky assuming they are wired in correctly. just traced the already coloured wires and they lead to this..... I'm hoping just a simple join to the new socket will do the job. Never actually tested the towing electrics 🙏
  8. Ok had an hour to see what’s in the corner, here’s what I’m looking at. The main bunch of wires are yellow, I don’t see any numbers on them. there’s another 7 coloured wires connected to the yellows. I’m guessing I just splice my new 7 pin wiring into the same colours that already there?
  9. Thanks Deep, the truck does very little off roading, usually just green lane type tracks to get to our wild camp spots. If I can I’ll put it next to the NATO socket on the rear crossmember. Ordered a pre wired 7 pin so hopefully as others have said it’s just a case of matching wire colours. 😊👍
  10. All will be revealed I’m sure. I read somewhere military used white with numbers.... hence why I tried to avoid a re-wire in the first place. Oh well, nice first job to be getting on with.
  11. I like the sound of that Deep. Does anyone have a diagram or list of what wire goes where into the 7 pin socket from the NATO wiring? Where did you mount your secondary socket?
  12. I’ll have a swatch as soon as I’m free, can’t actually remember a cover etc inside the cab
  13. Ralph I’m assuming the connectors are above the rear crossmember on the offside rear? Are they plug ins ? Been in there a while ago but it’s vague
  14. Thanks for the help as always guys, I reckon the way forward is to fit a civvy socket 12N to the 110.
  15. £84 for an adapter..... I know I’m scottish but even that’s a bit steep. I’ll need to look into a 7 pin socket onto the landy..... I’m guessing a specialist might even do it for less than the cost of the adapter.
  16. Yes seen that one but no guarantee it’ll fit into the NATO socket so it’s too big a gamble. I don’t want to re wire unless it’s a plug and play option. 👍
  17. The circumference of the adapter won’t go into the NATO plug. I’ve had a good search but all I can see is the same adapters. Unless I see a 7 pin (from trailer) and a male 13 pin (to landy)
  18. It’s too bulky, it won’t go into the landy’s 13 pin socket.
  19. Hi guys, so I’ve went and bought a Sankey and very nice it is too! Then discovered it’s a 7 pin socket that on it and my 110 has the 12 pin NATO socket. I thought I’d cracked it as I have an adapter up the loft but the 13 pin is too bulky for the 110 and won’t slide on. Does anyone know of an adapter that works? I don’t really want to mess about ret-wiring.
  20. The mate just took it off and gave it a good oil and tidy up and so far it’s ok
  21. I’m sticking to transfer to transfer. and lots of grease in the nipples 😂👍
