I did the oil and also oil filters about 8 months ago......also noticed last night that the oil level seems to have dropped to below LOW in this time.......is that normal? i'm in Essex so any help very welcome as i'm keen to learn but don't really have anyone with knowledge to show me or get me started

so, the vehicle is solid and in good condition + well looked after, however there is an unusual noise from the engine which sounds like a load of budgies.......any thoughts?

I've used the stuff to clean injectors for a couple of tank fulls and ive noticed on start up I am now getting lots of blue smoke is this normal?

i'm no mechanic but I changed the engine oil about 2000 miles ago and having looked at it last night its very black again.......is this normal? if not, any suggestion for why and what I should change?

does this picture help....this is the pump and the extra pulley/tensioner which has 3 holes and looking at markings it has been fixed to the engine previously

My brother is looking at a TD5 which has just come on the market. Its done 170k and is a 2000, so not really high It has full Land Rover service history The questions he has asked me are; 1. what mileage is it good for? 2. what items should I check on the service history as having been replaced? 3. what might need to be replaced soon which would be expensive? Any assistance much appreciated
