  1. Hi Cat J, I have the bits you need and will post a pic if you are interested, they are left overs from my installation. Cheers Gary
  2. Hi Ben, I have just had a 200 TDi fitted to my '89 1100 TD by the guys here http://www.landroversuk.co.uk/ and would not hesitate to recommend them! They did a FABULOUS job, I am well pleased, my Landie is transformed and I only wish I had had it done years ago! (I travelled from Cheshire!) Contact Andy or Stuart, these guys know their stuff! Cheers Gary
  3. Hi Chaps, I have just got a 7" LCD Monitor off Ebay to replace the one in mine that has died... The instructions are vague to say the least! Here is a scan of the only wiring diagram,I am at a loss as to what the 'blue' wire is for... Can anyone help? Cheers Gary
  4. Hi Chaps, I am of the opinion that you should stop 'them' getting in...... I have fitted 2 of these to my Sankey tailgate and am considering fitting them to the front doors too! What do you think? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UP-AND-OVER-GARAGE-D...1742.m153.l1262 Cheers Gary
  5. Absolutely right Paul (voice of reason!) Got a good 2nd hand transfer box fitted. Cheers Gary
  6. Hi Chaps!, I have been working shifts so not had the chance to update for a while. The problem I had was the transfer box slipping into neutral and I had to put a bungee cord/elastic hook around it and fix to seat base to keep it engaged in this position. I tried all the suggestions put forward by Gaza, Dan and Trev over a couple of days, but it didn't stop the problem So I welded a piece of 10mm bar to the metal plate under the Diff lever gaiter so... thus, so far in 150 miles, it hasn't jumped out! No doubt it will fail completely sooner or later but, in the meantime-£500 saved on having to fit a new transfer box = new set of tyres! Thanks again for your help! Cheers Gary
  7. Hi, I was having the same problem in my 110 until I checked (amongst other places) here...... http://www.expeditionlandrover.info/landRo..._rearbrakes.htm YES, I had put them on the wrong way too! AND I aplogise for jumping the gun with CBE'S question a page back.....I was so keen to help, I didn't notice he had said 'pads' and not 'shoes'! Cheers Gary
  8. Hi Ralph, I must try and get the EPC working again, I had loads of trouble with it last time! Yes, one of the bushes was missing, what I did was make a sleeve to fit inside the arm, it was a tight fit to get it in! It has a 7mm hole for the pin, and has taken up the slack.... Dan, no offence taken mate, I have probably used the diff lock 5 times in the 10 years I have had my 110 (hangs head in shame ). And I never had the handbook to tell you what does what! I have had a good look at the linkages etc, and could not find anything obvious apart from the slack. I then went for a mile run round town after doing as you suggested, and it slipped into neutral 3 times.... I am afraid I did 'break' something internally, when my clutch went at Xmas! I am having a 200TDi put in at the beginning of September, the guys said they would have a look and see if they can repair the box or failing that, fit a replacement. I must say, this is THE LR forum on the web-Bloody Great! Thanks Gary
  9. Hi James, I think Ive got it! This one? I'm havin a go now, will let you know how I get on....... Cheers Gary
  10. Hi Chaps, thanks for the quick replies! Gaza, is this were you mean? (arrowed) Cheers Gary
  11. Hi Chaps! I have just read thru 17 pages of diff lock threads and I need some help please! After my clutch ('89 110) went on Xmas morning on the way home off night shift (should have listened at school!).... I am ashamed to admit I thoroughly abused my transmission in getting home (3 miles) using the diff lock to get it into gear etc.. luckily, it was 6.30am and foggy, so most normal people were in bed, mid-hangover.... I got the clutch renewed no problem a few days later, after I stopped crying... But, the diff lever started jumping from 'High' into 'Neutral'...there is no rhyme to when it happens etc and have been driving around ever since with a bungee hook around the diff lever to keep it back in 'high', . I have just removed transmission tunnel to see what is going on. I cannot see anything adrift or missing but, there is a LOT of play in the pin in this linkage pictured. I will see if I can remove the play by putting a bigger pin/bolt in but Is there anything else I can adjust? Thanks in advance... Gary
  12. Chris, I have just found out that I had replaced brake shoes THE WRONG WAY in my 110 (Its a couple of years at least!) Have a look here http://www.expeditionlandrover.info/landRo..._rearbrakes.htm Cheers Gaz
  13. Hi Chaps! I have had a look on the forums but cant pin this down... I have a Sankey Narrow track, Fixed back trailer which I have just bought, and I'm not sure whether I have to have the tow jaw rotating or not? The trailer eye does rotate about 20º either side of horizontal, but would you class this as a rotating hitch? Anyone clear this up for me? Cheers Gary
