  1. Wayhay! They are out of the wrapper and are ace!!! Shame it's too dark to fit them tonight........
  2. Tempted by this!!!! http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...m&noImage=0 Note, 21 DOLLARS 99 in the US and 24 POUNDS 99 in the UK.......sheesh !!!!
  3. Also........if i do decide to go with some sort of box option........aluminium? And does anyone know anyone who will fabricate one for a reasonable fee? (........one day I'll cover over the pit..........)
  4. No, tried tho, the pictures won't load on the company's tinternet here. I'll have a look when I get home. It'll probably come down to whether I want an expensive/difficult fix, or whether I want something quick and relatively easy....
  5. Plan is for my fridge to site in the bench seat area, up against the back of the centre seat row. Plent of room there and plenty of 12v sockets too. Passenger-wise it shouldnt be affected, as I say on the floor up against the front seat box should leave plenty of room for feet, both in the left hand passenger seat and in the middle seat.
  6. Hadn't thought about the rear wheel arch........i guess that would involve cutting a rectangle out of the top of the box and then lowering a u-shaped picece of metal in to suspend the battery underneath?!?!? If fitted behind the front seats, I was thinking on the floor immediately behind them, either side of the gap between the front seat and the cubby box....should still leave plenty of room for people's feet.....
  7. Mike, as in signature....a 1989 110 3.5 V8 County Station Wagon WFN (Warp Factor Nine), to give it it's Sunday name..
  8. How about this, with suitable covering for the battery terminals of course....
  9. Thinking of places to put the second battery still.........can someone please tell me what is under the centre row seat box, thinking of cutting a hole in it.......
  10. Ordered a full middle row of seats from Exmoor Trim on Tuesday over t'internet at 4pm. Delivered this very Thusday morning at 8am (spoiled my wife's lie-in mind!). My six year old is soooooo looking forward to being able to fall asleep without draping her head and neck backwards (ouch) over the top edge of the ageing Landy seats....... Edited to fix the space-time-continuum at the stroke of a keyboard. Then again, you know us v8 guys - Warp Speed is all!!!!!! Come on TDI types, keep up!!
  11. the battery is for leisure purposes, to run fridge etc. It fits in the battery box ok, but it is too tall and fouls the underside of the seat....... and with it in it doesnt leave enough room for the main car battery.......
  12. Hi folks. Having a wee bit of a grim time trying to fit split-charge relay system. No wiring difficulties, just this...... I bought a Numax battery from Simon (X-eng) on here. It's a sizable battery, and won't fit in the passenger seat box alongside my existing battery, no matter which way i put them. It's also very tall, and when in place on it's own I cant get the seat down on top, which in any event will create a short, since the seat will be touching both battery posts. Where (he says in a despairing voice!) can I put this second battery, how to restrain it in position, any boxes that I can put it in etc etc. Cheers in advance!
  13. Different internal reinforcing struts - wouldn't close properly. Might have been a TD5 bonnet......
  14. Where can i get the engine fitting that will output to two separate TIM gauges, an oil pressure gauge and an oil temperature gauge, for my V8 please? Anyone done this before? Edited to add..... Is this any use???? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Universal-oil-filter...1QQcmdZViewItem
  15. Ode to Sandy…..or should it be “Owed to Sandy…….”?!?!? I’ve had her since November A 12-seat blue one-ten I’ve driven her six thousand miles Till now from way back then. The journey’s not been trouble free She’s given me some grief… And coupled with a mighty shunt, Sore neck and near-lost teeth! The bits she’s had have cost a bob Or two and frowned the missus And every time new parts arrive I hide “What’s that?!?” she hisses. Two new rear bench seats, vinyl black They sure do look the job Two front seats too with big high backs Have cost a fair few bob A wiper motor, rear with arm Two! Brand new radios too A nice new a-bar, cubby box To name another few… New washer motors, both replaced, A UK-search for grommets And I bought it, sprayed it, didn’t fit A nice shy-er blue bonnet Gauges, dashpod, 12 volt sockets, New headlamps big and brassy Have left me bare of cash in pockets Though the light show’s rather classy…. And mats from Nic the orange one A rubber square compound They line the floor and you can use them Lying on the ground Switches, four, the carling type A new fire ex-ting-gwisher Rear work-lamps and a new CB The console’s looking swisher! And four new tyres, complete with wheels Been fitted just two weeks She rumbles loud Quiets the crowd When she passes, no-one speaks! The jobs not done yet, more to come An Exmoor 3-seat set, The clutch is breathing it’s last breath And wants changed soon, I’ll bet. Seats down to nine, she’s looking fine Though she is a money pit But hey, the joy of driving means She’ll be mine for quite a bit (yet!) With apologies to any real poets!
  16. To change the starter motor (110 CSW V8 Roaaarer ).....do you need to drop the propshaft out? Also....a worse question......how much is a new clutch?? ?? ....for the diagnosis is that it's life is almost at an end...
  17. No, it won't pull as well on LPG as it does on petrol. Generally, about 15-20% less oomph, also about 15-20% less mpg than on petrol too.
  18. Sorry Mo, just clicked on it, seems to work fine for me (in Firefox).
  19. Try this one for size guys...... http://water4gas.com/2books.htm?hop=riichie
  20. Wonder if it's possible to line the thing around the edge with some sort of "waterproof draught excluder sort of material" to clamp on when you close it and therefore make it sealed. Apologies for the technical-speak there! I think I would still like it to open just in case we ever have a warm day............
  21. There is a leak in my roof. I suspect it's from the sunroof (only because I'm struggling to work out where else it could be from!). Question is.....how to fix?
  22. Friday should see the work complete for the moment!!! Had to do yet another re-shuffle with the gauges.....but I'm having a cb radio installed too....more pictures soon!
