  1. Sorry I think I got one already they are very friendly bunch of people out there and if you get into to touch (Dolly might be able to help here - he is a bit of an international slapper - he goes anywhere with anybody!!! ) I am sure you can find places and seats - and if you dont speak the lingo - handsignals are great! Zed (sorry Jez - had to finally show your true colours hehehehe )
  2. Hello!!!!! I will present myself in full glory in Russia !!! Round around a BIG lake I will go - drink vodka, chase hairy russian men and hopefully survive the trip!!!!!! Can't wait so much swamp to get dirty in By that time I might even have a car to take! Damm, I should really start doing something about that. Forget Christmas - lets spend money on a big winch Zed - a carless optimist
  3. Lucky you! I am going to be stuck in a NICE AND CHEERFULL chrismas party. Great - that time of the year again
  4. having all the toys in the workshop to do the work yourself + people who can do work for you if you cant + parts at "slightly " better cost then the rest of the world = GREAT TRUCK (wonder how much would it cost me?? ) not being nasty just jealauos
  5. damm !! I should have been the one who thought of nicking a digger and a lorry from a building site next door to a bank!!! pull the cash mashine out with the digger - load on the lorry and a speedy get away!! (got the picture from a mate - Tadley in Hampshire this morning) DAMM
  6. white90 bit of a difference thou - 3-4 meter steep drop with a lovely little muddy pudle on the end off it - OR 150-200 meter long drop with end no were in sight - and thats just going straight !!! rather take the muddy drop (always!!!!! ) I think I would have an accident and need new pants if I looked down the side!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. AL!!! you not one of those determined people who refuse to pay the TV licence fee and they took it away from you???? With all those beautifullll movies - you dont know what you missing!!!!!! what you doing with all this free time on your hands???
  8. Can't even say - I am having a BLONDE moment - can you?????
  9. All those Europeans can’t be wrong............ (Maybe there would not be such a chaos on our roads after an inch of snow??????????????? ) If the temperatures drop below +7C you should change into winter tires. Normal winter tires - not off road tires are usually directional, they don’t loose their flexibility in low temperatures and still stick to the road better then the summer ones. More rubber on the road is better - maybe have 2 sets of tires? The tread should be no smaller then 4mm and they can have cca. 0,2 bar more then summer ones And something to keep in mind if you off to Europe for a break in your car - In Italy and Austria it is compulsory to have winter tires in certain areas, In France there are signs in the mountain regions. If you have an accident in Germany or Switzerland without winter tires you might have problems with the insurance as you will be getting a bigger portion of the blame. Off to Finland? - compulsory winter tires from certain time of the year. .................. use of studs? In most of the Europe only allowed on special vehicles and mountain regions (sorry landyandy - not a lot to do with your tyres but it made me feel much better about myself )
  10. LR90 You know what? I was reading this tread and I could not FIND the b l o o d y calendar!!!!! Then I looked again and again thinking I can't be this stuuuupid - it must be somewhere here if you talking about it! And I found it !!! (very pleased with myself too ) Great idea - will be checking it out and planning my play days and where to spend my precious holiday allowance Cheers (Maybe being peroxide blond and female has got something to do with it???)
  11. We take testing quite seriously as some of you are aware, I very soon hope to add to our web site details of a hydraulic destructive testing rig we have made which will give conclusive comparison data on stock and aftermarket halfshafts and CV's. I think this will make very interesting reading, if you have any left over KAM, GKN, Maxidrive or other shafts just send them along for us to break! no point testing "left overs" need nice new shiny stuff
  12. Dollythelw had really nice and comfy seats in his PIG. Dont know where he got them from, but they were reclining, not too high on the sides, had 5 point harnesses. And he sat on them and slept in them for 6000 mile trip including 1200km of serious off-roading at Ladoga. And afterwards they went of to Latvia, Litvania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France - gosh that man gets around!!! (and I think all this in 3 weeks!!! ) ask him how was his arse???
